Interview with Kria Erikson

Day 1,488, 07:50 Published in USA USA by Cleveland Fleman

How did you find eRepublik?
RalphyNoPants introduced me to it, and since he spent a ridiculous amount of time on it I figured it couldn't be that bad.

Why did you choose Kria_Erikson as your user-name?
I don't really remember where Kria came from. Erikson was stolen from RNP and modified.

What was the first party you joined?
I think it was the Feds. I didn't really get involved in politics early on. I've also been in the USWP, UIP, and AMP since.

What do you think about the AMP?
The AMP started out pretty cool and definitely unique. Now, there's the same group of leaders controlling it with a few new faces every so often. It's not that distinct from the other parties and less interesting for it.

Do you think the AMP is headed in the right direction?
If the end goal is to create a large political powerhouse, then yes.

What do you think the AMP should have as a goal?
I would like to see it described as a welcoming party that supports all military units in the United States. I feel like right now it's fragmented into opinions on some issues by which military group people belong to, and I would like to see more encouragement for people to look beyond themselves for the good of the nation

Do you think Israel has been doing a good job as PP?
Yes. Israel and I joined the Army around the same time and remain good friends. He has led the party admirably despite having to deal with some ill will from party members.

Do you think he could have done better?
I have to admit that I didn't pay attention to many things as well, so I may have missed mistakes that others see as well. There's always things that could be improved on like allocating blockers differently or getting another couple things done. Could he improve, of course.

What do you think about the JCS VS government divide?
I think it could have been managed better by both sides. I'm not against it, but I wish it wouldn't have split the eUS society as much as it did.

Do you think there is a way to solve it?
I don't think it will ever be completely resolved because it's impossible for both sides to get what they want. I believe that there could be progress made if more of the officials were willing to talk about it, but that requires the military to talk politics and the politicians to talk military so there's a lot of aversion to talking about the issues.

What do you think about the other top 5 parties?
Well, I don't much like the NCP, but the rest are valuable to the political sphere. Not every party is right for everyone so there needs to be alternatives.

Do you ever plan to run for president?
I've thought about it and have decided it will make me quit the game. That might be the last cool thing I do before my planned pron quit, but I don't see it happening at any point in the foreseeable future.

Do you want to be CJCS?
I don't think anyone really wants that job. I think I would do it if I needed to.

Do you have any suggestions for new players?
Don't spend your gold on energy packs and candy bars! It's most important to get enough food for you to fight, and if you save your gold you can get more food factories to produce the food you need. Food is more important than weapons because you can't use the weapons if you don't have the food to heal. Stick with it!
