Interview with former Spanish CP and current ONE Military Commander angeldav!

Hey there!

Today I would like to present to you an interview with former Spanish CP and current ONE Military Commander angeldav! He is one of my favourite persons in whole eRepublik. This interview and whole article is in english so I ask for forgiveness from all polish citizens! And of course I hope you will enjoy it!


1) Hey! Tell us something about your real life. How old angeldav is, where do you live, do you work or you are still studying?

angeldav is a Spanish 24-year-old guy that studies Computer Engineering while is working as Web Designer in his spare time...

2) How you found out eRepublik? What happened that you joined eRepublik society?

I was pretty bored during summer in 2008 and I saw an eRepublik topic in a forum I used to surf. I was curious and I registered on it. Some days later I found a community in the biggest Spanish forum (Forocoches) and we managed to make a paramilitary group, some political activity... enjoying ALOT this game. 2 years later I’m still here. 😃

3) What do you think about last changes in eRepublik? Does it seems to be a good path for admins or you just hate them for what they have done to beautiful v1?

Leave eRepublik. Make admins ruin themselves.

No, seriously. Every change has been destroying the game slowly. The only change we enjoyed was the 600 health and probably the 100 health refill per hour. They destroyed Monetary Market, Companies, Organizations, Strategy in the game with 8 round/battle, >50% bars, 10 people to raise RWs...

V1 was simple but not simpler. It was pretty good to make RWs as well the region is being attacked. It was good to trigger MPPs when an enemy country attacked your core regions. Stealing GOLD from their Country Treasure. Own their companies... V1.X is very different from V1. And we miss it.

4) How did it happen that you became ONE MC. We all know that Staruszek was elected by ONE countries but suddenly you have taken his place, why?

Because he suddenly dissapeared without any reason and since I was dMC I had to take the responsibility of the alliance. And I have to say it was pretty good. We conquered all the world. 😃

5) How much time per day you spend on controling battles, giving orders etc.?

12-14 hours more or less. I work at home with my own computer, so I can check battles from time to time in order to give orders.

6) Have you ever thought about resignation from your position? I guess it is really hard sometimes and I just wonder have you ever thought about it?

I though it when ONE lost all its empire. Not because we became loosers, but I don’t like to waste my time coordinating and trying to reestablish something that is being manipulated for those who earn the money.

7) Few months ago you were Spanish President. Isn't it difficult to separate your country business and other ONE members business?

I’m always an impartial person, and I didn’t mind to sacrifice Spain sometimes if this could help the alliance in other way. However, I didn’t had any problem with the former MC while I was CP so we didn’t have any complaint. 🙂

8 ) EDEN and Terra cut off all ONE members from their resources including the two superpowers Serbia and Poland, does ONE have a plan to recover those regions?

At short-term place, we need to get some iniciatives back. Meanwhile, we can recover those resources from Poland and Serbia since Netherlands, Germany, France and Ukraine are not big countries to take care of.

9) What about nightwatch project? I have heard a lot about this project to create a group of soldiers from ONE countries who could fight during the night. Do you want to create this group and if yes how is it gonna work?

In fact, is already done, but since the person who was commanding had some RL issues, it’s now unused. We want to recover it as soon as possible.

10) A lot of people is talking about adding some new countries to ONE like Turkey, Indonesia, Slovenia. You know my opinion about it but what ONE MC thinks about this idea?

Since we formed this alliance we didn’t want to make the same error as PHOENIX where all big countries should help little ones in every moment so we made a small core (Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Spain) and later on we add only 2 countries: Sweden as an old EDEN Member and Macedonia newfags. We are not taking any other country from being ONE because of the issue described, but we already send help to them whenever is possible. 🙂

11) According to last question, what is wrong between Spain and Turkey? Often we can see some misunderstandings and problems, could you tell us something about genesis of this conflict?

Once upon a time... Spain was in EDEN and Turkey was in PHOENIX. I’m talking about more than one year ago. Almost two. Since I was interested in military field, I was seeing that Turkey got raped several times. Some of them, when they only had their last region, they magically recovered their full strength and almost wiped Greece. It didn’t have any sense. Or well it had. They created several bot armies once they almost got erased and used them against Greece. One after another... And they got caught every time, of course.

Because of that we (Spain) didn't want to have any relation with cheaters in this game. Many cheats were done by Turkish players in the past, that's why there are some problems today between us and Turkey. Moreover, during Argentinian campaign having Turkey fighting against a ONE Core Member is making this even more difficult.

12) What are your plans? Do you plan to run once again for CP or MC ONE? Or maybe imperator of galaxy this time?

Dude, I made a Game Over in a game that “never ends”. I think being MC once is enough. Moreover, I’m considering to leave the game for some other reasons, so becoming MC again is not one of my main aims.

14) Last days Romper is tanking hard against ONE and he is one of the main reason of ONE struggling. What is your opinion about that and do you think that such tanking is fair? One guy can make more dmg than whole military units where are sometimes even more than 50 soldiers.

Remember we are playing a social gam... oh wait! Capitalism rules, and VISA will own the game. Otherwise, admins could not afford their Ferraris... Money Talks. Since V1 was finished the WP limit removal was the major benefit for them. Any other measures taken in order to limit WP is a scam here.

15) Do you buy gold? And if yes how much?

I NEVER bought GOLD. 🙂

16) What is your opinion about ABC alliance? You know my personal relation to them but does MC ONE thinks about them as a friends or a neutral alliance that sometimes has common business?

We always considered ABC as friends, but always taking into consideration that they are an independent alliance with same objectives here: fighting against Terra and getting the most resources as they can get.

17) Can you give me a name of 5 famous polish people?
