Hello eCanada!

I am very pleased with the overwhelming amount of positive feedback that was received over the idea of this article series... I am also very thankful to everyone that took the time to read the article, vote it up (and even the 25 people that decided to sub!) - since knowing YOUR PLACE in the eWorld (militaristically) is key... and that is exactly what this article series plans to offer!

So on to the article... as of 09:15 eRepublik time, on the 10th of April, 2011 (Day 1237), we have 13 different battles “fronts”, that we are going to examine... some of which are taking place here in North America, others in Western and Southern Europe, and some on the Pacific Rim (not to mention the places in between!) - so without further adieu, here are your battle reports for today!

Battles in North America, have been far and few between previously.. however, thanks to the “New World Order” threat (mainly from SPAIN) - and thanks to the region swap, that is going on between CANADA and USA - the amount of seen battles are starting to pick up (which, in many cases is a good thing - as war can be very beneficial for our Economies, our Activity levels, and our overall Entertainment)!



Here we can see, that because of a LAND SWAP DEAL (where one country will “rent out” another country’s region for a monthly/weekly sum of GOLD - in order to obtain Economical benefits - such as resources) - CANADA (not seen on the map), it attacking the region of FLORIDA, that is currently under the control of the USA (purple on the map).

Over the past few days - we have seen some incredible things happen in South America. For starters, BOLIVIA has been attempting to eradicate NEW ZEALAND from South America... and likewise, ARGENTINA has been attempting to remove PERU from the map. Beyond all of that however, we have even seen TWO MORE FRONTS open up; one of which is between SPAIN and BRAZIL, and the other being between PARAGUAY and BRAZIL! There has been no absolute “eradication” (removal from the map) yet - but there may be soon...



Here we see TWO DISTINCT battles going on. For starters, we can see that ARGENTINA (navy blue on the map) has been attempting - numerously over the past 48 hours - to take over the FINAL REGION of PERU (brown on the map; though is not seen)... as once ARGENTINA takes over that region of GREAT ANDES, PERU will be gone from the map - yet Peru is NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT - and has succeeded twice now in defending this final region of theirs.

We also see that PANDO (an ex-Peruvian region) is under attack, as it is currently being held by NEW ZEALAND (yellow on the map; though is not seen) - and it is under attack by BOLIVIA (dark green on the map), as once PANDO falls, NEW ZEALAND will have been completely removed from SOUTH AMERICA!

Western Europe has seen some of the most brutal fights over the past week now, and even still, the fighting continues.... as hard and as strong as ever before! We still have three predominant fronts open in Western Europe (and two non-predominant) - the predominant ones being between, France-Poland, France-Spain, and Belgium-Netherlands! The non-predominant ones, however, are the battles between Canada-UK (resistance wars), and USA-Spain!



Here we can see USA (not seen on the map) going back into the offensive position, against the southern regions of SPAIN (brown on the map)... right now, in order to help LIBERATE PORTUGAL (who has, unfortunately, been eradicated off of the map, due to SPAIN), the United States are going on the offensive, to help reclaim the ex-Portuguese regions, that Spain now holds!



On the Northern Edge of FRANCE (pale tan on the map), we have seen two more battles emerge. The first one, which is the battle for NORTH CALAIS, is between FRANCE and POLAND (pink on the map) - surprise, surprise? The battle for “NORTH CALAIS” was caused, as Poland has been able to continue the “offensive momentum”, by taking out all of FRANCE’s Northern Half, including Lorraine, Upper Normandy, Lower Normandy, Brittany, and Alsace to name a few!

The second battle we see emerging here, is between BELGIUM (pea green on the map), and the NETHERLANDS (brownish-pink on the map) - as not too long ago, The NETHERLANDS were able to completely remove BELGIUM from the map, and hold on to all of their regions! Unfortunately, BELGIUM was not pleased with this, and decided to start attacking back (through resistance wars), to hopefully get ALL OF THEIR REGIONS BACK.. plus maybe a few extra 😉

South Europe, is one of the most DANGEROUS and HARDEST places to live in - simply because of all of the major rivalries that are found here... FYROM/Italy, Greece/Turkey, Serbia/Croatia, and Hungary/Romania... just name a few! Today however, there is not as much action on the battlefield, as you may expect... there are amazingly, only 4 battle fronts!



ROMANIA (light yellow on the map), and HUNGARY (green on the map) have been able to re-kindle their old differences - and are at war again! From what we can see here, ROMANIA is attempting to take back one of its former regions, CRISANA - that is under Hungarian control - from HUNGARY, in order to restore ALL OF THEIR REGIONS - as HUNGARY physically wiped ROMANIA off the map, some time ago... consider this another “rebuilding process”...



Every action has a reaction... and that is what BULGARIA (purple on the map) is finding out - that hard way! After BULGARIA went all expansionist, they took over a great many number of regions, ranging all the way from Southern Europe, to regions down in the MIDDLE EAST! However, because of this, many countries, like F.Y.R.O.M. (dark green on the map), and SERBIA (skin tone on the map) - as we can see - are attacking Bulgarian regions, like Vidin and Burgas (respectively).



AEGEAN COAST OF TURKEY, is the central attack point, in the war between GREECE (dark brown on the map), and TURKEY (pink on the map). For the longest time (that I can remember), TURKEY and GREECE have always been at war - and only very recently did GREECE come out “partially victorious” (as TURKEY was wiped from the map). This however, did not improve relations between the two countries, and therefore, they are still both (very much) at war with each other!



EASTERN ANATOLIA (another Turkish region), is being attacked by BULGARIA (purple on the map) - again, surprise, surprise? With the help of their allies - BULGARIA has been able to take over a great deal of regions, ranging all the way from Southern Europe, to the Middle East! Currently, TURKEY (pink on the map) was able to regain some of their regions back, from foreign oppression... so BULGARIA jumped right on it, and decided to re-attack some Turkish regions.

The Middle East, has been shaken up VERY RECENTLY, due to Bulgarian attacks on former Middle Eastern Regions... however, many Middle Eastern nations (like Iran, for example), have not stood for this - and have attempted to make an OFFENSIVE COMEBACK against BULGARIA.



Here we have a “double-takeback-whammy” (yes, that is an odd name for it) against BULGARIA (purple on the map), by IRAN (light blue on the map) - where IRAN has decided to try and reclaim two of their “taken” regions, FARS and SISTAN AND BALUCHISTAN. This is one of the final “ditch efforts” to eradicate BULGARIA from Middle Eastern land/regions.

As we have seen, on two fronts now, this may be the fallback of BULGARIA (as they have attacks from the NORTH and SOUTH upon them).

The Western Pacific Rim, is unfortunately one of the LEAST PUBLICIZED battle fronts, in North America... why? I do not know. But I do know, that today, we have two different “fronts” emerging - one that is the “South Korean-Taiwanese” front, and the “Chinese-Thai” front - both of which have been extremely busy over the last week!


Here we see the South Korean region, of GYEONGSANGNAM-DO, being attacked be TAIWAN - for slightly unknown reasons... what I can say though, is that recently, there have been “higher than normal” tensions between SOUTH KOREA (pea green on the map), and TAIWAN (light blue on the map) - and because of that, TAIWAN (alongside CHINA (beige on the map)) have taken over many South Korean regions, and South Korea has been attempting to reclaim all of their regions!




The other side, of this whole “Thai-South Korean-Chinese” war is the Southern Front, which is depicted above! As we see here, CHINA (beige on the map) is currently holding the Thai region of SOUTHERN THAILAND - and THAILAND (dark green;not seen on map) is attempting to reclaim this region of theirs!
