Ok, I will be begining a series of interesting facts articles. I will be releasing them in 10's.
Here goes:
1. Basketball was invented by a Canadian working in the YMCA in New York.
2. The average cocoon contains about 300-400 metres of silk.
3. The average bed is home to over 6 billion dust mites.
4. Whitby, Ontario has more donut stores per capita than any other place in the world.
5. Ernest Vincent Wright wrote a novel with over 50,000 words, none of which containing the letter "E".
6. No president of the United States was an only child.
7. Apples are more effective at keeping people awake in the morning than caffeine.
8. Mosquitoes have 47 teeth.
9. Most lipstick is partailly made of fish scales.
10. Tablecloths were originally meant to be served as towels with which dinner guests could wipe their hands and faces after eating.
