Interested in becoming a little better at CoD?

Day 1,679, 21:47 Published in Canada Canada by Its a Traaapppp

Ok, so I haven't written an article for quite some time. Now is the day I change that fact. I've decided to pass my knowledge of being 'good' at (Hardcore) Search and Destroy on Call of Duty. Yes I understand this is eRepublik but sometimes us drones get bored and want to play other games while we're waiting for some some crazy stuff to go down. 😛

Being a good player does not necessarily mean 'dropping' a large amount of kills in any game mode but what you can do for your team, so if your a good slayer then so be it but if you can make accurate, short and descriptive call outs than you are already one step in the right direction. You must learn the game mechanics before even atempting to try anything mentioned after this. i.e. How long can you cook a nade before you kill yourself or which walls you can shoot through without impact etc.

To bring you up to speed with the common traits of a Gamebattles all-star you will need to get used to playing on the tactical button settings due to the ever so popular drop-shot technique, which when used correctly will give you the upper hand in any close quarters fire fight.
Next, (IMPORTANT!) get used to using the dead silence perk. You are unbelievably loud (think, elephant) when not using that perk and will be sitting in the death room waiting for the next round very quickly. What makes it worst is that 99% of players now use surround sound headsets like Turtle Beaches, Astros and Trittons so running around without dead silence is extremely costly.

I got used to using a higher sensitivity level (Insane- 10) very quickly in the beginnings of the franchise, as it allows you to turn on a player with break neck speeds allowing you to surprise them when they there shooting you from behind. Imagine being shot while running around a corner, only for you to turn back around the corner and nail the guy in the space of a second. He wouldn't know what happened. I guess it comes with over 5 years of practice and competitive game play (I'm not talking normal public matches with kids of zero to no skill level, I'm meaning kids that play 10+ hours a day everyday that bring their 'A' game to every match).

Another issue to bring up which is pretty much common sense would be to learn every single map like its your buttocks. I'm meaning, figure out spots that you could use in certain situations like where to sit where you can cover the bomb sites or certain rush routes that have a better chance of avoiding nades and prefires etc. (Back in the glory days of clan matches in Cod 4 I was known as an extremely efficient rusher and clutcher).

Here's a video of me utilizing the drop shot technique

Here's a good video example of me using the map to my advantage 😛

And last but not least here's just me owning some kids

Now here is the part where I get to boast haha
I've been playing CoD competitively for around 4-5 years and in that time I have an overall clan match record of 1156 wins and 98 losses but give or take a few wins/loss. I have played in the playoffs 9 times and been to the semi-finals twice both losing due to incompetent team mates (not having good communication skills or just plain boneheaded plays etc). Highest team win-streak I have ever had was 80 straight on MW2 with a team record of 137 wins 7 losses (Really hard to get haha).

If you have made it this far congrats, you are on your way to being an awesome player. If you would like to learn anything more message me here or add me on xbox at Its a Traaapppp 🙂
