Indrae For North Dakota

Hello my fellow eAmericans. I'd like to announce my intention to run in the October '09 congressional election in the great state of North Dakota. I'm not going to bore you with a long article promising things that I would have no ability to deliver; rather, I have prepared a short article about my qualifications, and my stances on the things that I might actually be able to do as a congressman.

Experience
I might not have many shiny medals on my profile page to show my experience, but that is not to say that I don't have any. For the past month I have been working with the Citizenship Task Force (which for the rest of this article will be referred to as the CTF). I am currently the Director of the CTF, which for those who have no idea what I'm talking about, does background checks on potential citizens of this great eCountry. My time at the CTF has taught me the value of teamwork, hardwork, and patience, which are all qualities that I think are important for every congressman to have.

Political Views
I'm going to be honest here, in this game, real life political views do not really matter. Being successful in this game relies on understanding the game mechanics, which is something that I believe I know well.

Transparency
One thing that I believe in is that there needs to be transparency when it comes to congress, even with the CBO donations. Allowing the citizens to know what is going on in the government, and how their congressmen votes is important to the success of a nation. Therefore, if elected, I'll publish my votes in this newspaper once a week (granted they aren't classified or anything like that).

Taxes
While in the real world I'm sure that everyone would prefer lower taxes, it just isn't possible in a game such as this. The current system we have works, and provides the funds needed for the military, and other government run programs. It is also my impression that congress truly does not have that much of a say in what the tax rate is; nonetheless, I would like to add this statement: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Foreign Policy
Our allies are very important to us. Without the support of our allies, where would we be today? This is why I believe that we need to strengthen our ties with our allies. They helped us in our time of need, so it is our turn to return the favor. That's why I support helping our allies regain their occupied regions, before we try to retake the last of ours.

Infrastructure
We currently have two fortress states in the eUS: California and Florida. I do not believe that there is any need at the current time to add any more.

I appreciate all the potential voters who have read this article, and if any of you are interested in voting for me, I would be willing to offer moving tickets to you.

Thank You For Your Time,
Indrae,
Libertarian North Dakota Congressional Candidate (Libertarian)
Director of the CTF
