In a thrilling seven-minute descent, telecast live to eCitizens all over the eWorld, the Technocratic Society has successfully landed the Indonesia Science Laboratory on Jakarta!

Curiosity, AKA the ISL, in the barren wasteland of Indonesia

The ISL is designed to examine Indonesia for artifacts, writing, and other signs of intelligence and culture. This represents the 39th attempt by nations around the world to seek knowledge of this forbidding and lifeless environment, and the 15th successful landing.

Equipped with a chromatographic laser and state-of-the-art optical character recognition (OCR) algorithms, ISL is prepared to spot even the tiniest fragment of literacy hidden among the valleys and dunes of Indonesia, and finally settle the question, "Did intelligent life ever exist on these isolated islands?"
