Hey there. My name is IndieKid and I’m the Unity Party candidate for the North East of England. Some of you might recognise my name from various places, I’ve been in the game a long time (almost two years) and I’ve been involved in many different aspects of the game. After a small break from playing seriously, I’m back in the game and fully committed to representing you. I’d just like to tell you a bit about myself:

• I am the second highest poster on the UK forums, which is a sure sign that I will be active and dedicated to the job throughout the month.
• I’ve been in congress 8 times, I know the drill and am always around to help and advise new players on how things work, as well as adding my wealth of experience to the various discussions.
• I’m a keen journalist and have received the media mongul medal for receiving over one thousand subscribers. This allows me to effectively communicate my thoughts and ideas to the wider public, regarding political issues amongst others.
• I have served in many branches on the Armed Forces, for many months serving as second in command to the elite paratroopers before the unit was dissolved back into the main army, and I remain an active part of the military community to this day, although taking a back seat due to political commitments.
• I have worked within various government departments, mainly in Foreign Affairs but I have also delved into the Ministry of Trade and even served in the cabinet as Minister of Health last year, being the one organising the shut down and relocation of funds and organisations back to the state.

On to individual politics, I am a firm believer in the Unity Party ideal that by working together we strive to create a stronger, more active country. Only by helping new players and fostering a community can we enhance the game play experience for individual players. Afterall, what is the role of government in this game if not to facilitate for individuals to reach their full potential? The UKRP might rabble on about high taxes, government bureaucracy and individual choice but in the end what use is a government if it does not foster community and empower it’s citizens?

We believe that all players should be treated equally and fairly, and thus strive to help new players by providing them with a welcoming environment and an incentive to stay. It’s not just new players that benefit under The Unity Party, we take actions that benefit the whole country such as the abolishment of the bankrupting NHS and the widespread creation of military companies which massively improved efficiency and as a result costs. Equality, fairness and value for money is at the heart of our message.
