Welcome to the IA’s election centre for the April congressional elections! First off, let me wish all candidates from the Freedom Alliance, New Africa Party, SA Military Capitalist Party, Progressive Party South Africa and, of course, the Independent Alternative the best of luck for these incredibly important elections. May our nation’s voice be heard loud and clear on Sunday!

The Independent Alternative believes that people are the most important entity in politics. And as a group of diverse people coming together for a common goal, we believe in a NO BS approach to politics. This means that we are open about our motives, do what we promise to do and operate without hidden agendas. It also means we respect each other's opinions and invite a variety of people to our party in order to nurture critical thinking and a supportive space where everyone can voice their views. As you can see in our list of candidates, we have very experienced individuals standing alongside candidates who, if successful on Sunday, will join Congress for the very first time.
