Inauguration and Announcements

Day 256, 10:14 Published in USA USA by Archibald

I am excited to be the next president of the USA. There has been some great precedent set by our past leaders, and I hope to continue that tradition. I would like to thank all of my supporters for their efforts and encouragement during this difficult campaign. You have placed great faith and trust in my abilities, and I will continue to work to earn the responsibility you have given me.

Now then, down to business:

Oath of Office

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the rights of the citizens of the United States."

New Cabinet Positions

There are two open positions in my Cabinet that I am looking to fill. Decisions will be made by Tuesday, with Cabinet meetings set to begin this week.

Secretary of State - serves as the chief Foreign Adviser to the president. Represents the USA government when speaking to foreign dignitaries. Involved in signing treaties and agreements with other nations.

I am also looking to add an Economic Adviser. This person will provide me with another perspective when it comes time to make decisions about our economy. Anyone who is interested in learning my economic approach and/or enjoys numbers should apply.

Anyone is eligible to apply for these positions. Please send me a description with your qualifications and ideas for the position.

Author Laureate Program

I am opening up nominations for the Author Laureate position, honoring the greatest contemporary writer in the USA. I have already identified three citizens who I feel are some of the best writers in our country, and I will be speaking directly with them in the coming days. However, I also would like to receive nominations for this position from the public. This will be a very visible position, and I think it is important that we all have a say.
