In response to Tantis' Platform.

Day 375, 13:19 Published in Canada Canada by Tom Hagen

Although generally sound there are some major flaws with the platform put forward by Tantis and the CPF. These flaws could dramatically damage both eCanada and the people's trust in the government. Let's see the contenders for this month's 'Worst Flaw' Awar😛

# General/CinC -
At first look this looks harmless but let us take a closer look at this irresponsible idea. Tantis has promoted accountability in his last term however with this move he is showing us what he truly thinks. He wishes the CAF, funded by the Canadian Government, to become accountable to no one. He is handing a power held by an elected representative over to an appointee, an appointee who helped write the CPF platform. Our General is doing well wouldn't you agree? Complete control over our armed forces and a cabinet seat!

If the CAF is separate from the government it should be separate in all aspects. And as our current General has said " The Militiary[sic] is not the government". And if that is indeed the case then why does the General have a cabinet seat? Hypocrisy or just power hungry? I will let the Canadian people decide.

Under the CPP the CAF will once more be run by the MoD. The CAF will be held accountable to the voters.

# Immigration Program -
Not exactly a flaw as such but I was always taught don't steal and yet this is exactly what the CPF have done. I offer a section of the CPP Platform for November:

"I have begun immigration programs overseas with countries that actually
only have 2-6 job offers on their entire job market because they have
gotten 400+ people from V1. In the past few days I have recruited
around 30 new Canadians into the country and they are now enjoying the
wealthy benefits of every day Canada such as 1 weeks work for being
able to afford a house."

Does that not sound rather like the CPF's 'new' immigration policy? Recycling one of your own previous platforms is bad enough, but when it is another party's? It reeks of desperation.

# Chief of Staff -
This is a noble effort to increase the bureaucracy within the Canadian Government. Do our ministers really need a babysitter? Our ministers are the best qualified people for their jobs and the CPF think of them as children. I thought that ensuring the ministers did their jobs was the Prime Minister's job. 'Pass the Buck' Tantis strikes again.

The CPP believes that our ministers do not need an inspector. The CPP believes that Canada needs a Prime Minister who actually wants to do his job.
