Improvements to Our Infrastructure

I know we don't have the money at the moment, and we are not currently under threat from any one or either of the major alliances, but I would like to see a Q5 Defense System and Q5 Hospital in all of our regions. We only have 3 and the "Fortress Strategy" does not seem too viable as we do not have the luxury of losing too many regions if attacked.

I like to plan ahead and the time to place infrastructure is soon and not when we are being threatened.

This is just one Belgian's opinion, what is yours?

I like the idea, but we should at least start with a Q5 defense system in Brussels before we start thinking abou the other regions.

The benefit gained by the defense system could only be justified if there are actually people active in the country.

Hospitals in all regions would probably be a better start. I wonder how much money is spent on moving tickets that could be used elsewhere (like building a military).

If you assume that a hospital costs 250 gold, and a moving ticket costs 0.15 gold, then you would have to move 1667 people to break even on the cost of one hospital.

This idea sounds quite costly at the moment , but i have always wanted a Q5 hospital in Flanders however.
But we do need our population to increase first.

Better to have a Q5 hospital in reserve. If Belgium gets rolled then it is much easier to reboot once the situation stabilizes. Having most of the population in one place will at least make that place more expensive to conquer.

With only 3 or 4 regions there is very little that can be done tactically in a war situation. If NL and Belgium each held a region of the other then perhaps some tactical maneuvering would be possible.

I think a hospital in Flanders or Wallonia would be a bit of a waste of gold.
But I like the idea of having a Q5 hospital in reserve. When we can afford it we should get one.

Pure from international politics perspective: The only region which should be infrastructured should be Brussels. Brussels is not a region to pass through if Europeans plan to attack Americans and vice versa. A Q5 Defense system is useless as a neutral country...

To spread citizens and make politics more balanced there should be hospitals in the other two regions.

But yes, I've been thinking about the issue too...
