Important ADP Announcement

For those that don't know me, my name is Brenflakes and i am proudly a long standing citizen of eAustralia, and member of the former ADP, now the LPA. I've been a very active member of the senate, the cabinet, as well as on IRC and the forums. I enjoy this game, and the social aspects it brings. I like to have fun, but not at other people's expense.

Last elections, the ADP was taken over by Pizza The Hut. This came as a massive shock to many of us, especially when he renamed the party to the liberal party and nominated himself for country president. This was done without any input from a single member of the party, and without any announcement of the changes whatsoever.

I made the mistake of not fully reaching out to the party to explain what i am about and what my intentions are. I'm not going to stoop to PTH's level and insult/flame him. To be completely honest, i really don't care who he is, or what he has done in the past. I don't care if he technically didn't break any erep rules, or if he lied to the party to get what he wanted, and i don't care if he has cheated in this game in the past. The only thing i care about is that he took control of our party, one of the largest, most productive and historic political parties in eAustralia, and used it for his own purposes, changing the party name and direction, wasting the party gold on ridiculous advertisements and abusing his power to nominate himself for President of the country. Australian Democratic Party? Democratic, these decisions were not.

With over 70 people leaving the party, more people than what voted for him i might add, this proves that almost half of the party disagree with what he has done. The outcry from other parties as well proves that the eAustralian people do not take kindly to people disrupting our experience, and fun in this game. Making false promises and neglecting to tell people what his true intentions were before the election is the only reason he was elected. I can guarantee if he had announced these changes and what he intended to do, he would never have been elected in the first place.

I intend to run again at the next PP elections on a platform to change our party back to what it was, and move forward to grow the party like i originally intended in the previous election, as I announced in a previous article. Yes the ADP has had its flaws the last few months, but that's no reason to give up. I started out as a party member lurking in the background, just watching how things worked, how decisions were made, and how we all worked together to achieve those goals. I've got some great ideas on how to improve on the past, and lead us forward. I'll be releasing articles closer to election time to gain support from other party members, as well as senior members of our country and new members alike. I wont be getting involved in the political mudslinging and trolling that has taken place since the elections, and i will always be honest in what i say and do just like i have with my involvement in the government and the community in recent months.
