Hello and welcome to the first edition of The South Western Word!
and today i am officially announcing my Candidature for Congress in the South West!

Who am I?
Hi there! I am Lord Weiis! I joined eRepublik on the 20th of June 2009. I am currently an active member of the TUP, both on the forums and off. I also have government experience serving briefly as the apprentice to the MoW. I am also a member of the Royal Guard.

What Can I do For South West England?
If voted into congress, I will continue fighting in the SW and encourage others to because the SW is a crucial and important region because it borders so many countries. I will also work closely with the Regional Council to help with and expand on the brilliant work already being done. I will also encourage and increase current attempts to bring people into our fantastic region. As I said above, the SW is very valuable because of its border status and I will do what I can to have a level 4 or maybe even level 5 hospital built. I will also follow the policies of my party, the TUP (I will publish their manifesto upon its release) however the needs of my region will always come first.

Finally, I will listen to and help the public. I am very active in the forums (as a congress person needs to be) and remember well what it was like to be a new player with no idea what is going on. I will work with the regional council to introduce and implement programs designed to help new players familiarise themselves with the games running.
I am and will be (regardless of my winning a seat in congress) always available to answer questions and dole out advice to whom ever sees fit to request it!

The Unity Party
The current head of the TUP is the great Mr Woldy, and the current Prime minister is the noble Hassan Pesaran, also a member of the TUP! i will release our party manifesto upon its release some time on the 23rd.

Why should you vote for me?
I am a very active user. I am on frequently during the day, both in game and in forum. I understand the commitment needed to be a congressman. I have said it numerous times, but I am active in the forums, which is crucial for a congressman in the HoC! Though I will support all TUP polices, policies that help the SW come first (though the 2 are usually the same). I am dedicated to making the SW a better place for all!
