II Presidential Address. July, 2014

In the Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes said that “a kingdom divided in itself cannot stand”. The same statement became so popular because of an address given by one of my referents, Abraham Lincoln. It is a matter of fact that living in an unabating conflict will destroy this country and its citizens. What we need now is to focus on aspects in which we can coincide, we can agree, as Egyptians and Catalans living together; forget about demagogues and political agitators, that unfortunately are so numerous in our land, and put your mind to try to help Egypt taking part in its institutions, such as the Government; I will help everyone that ask that to me to get in my administration. I have win the elections as the candidate for the Catalan faction’s party, but I’m not only their President: also yours, Egyptians of all nationalities that want the best for the jewel of the Nile, and only together we will save the country.

I’ll be candi😛 our situation is now better than it was months ago. Yes, we have been living without Congress for a lot of time, and yes, Greece doesn’t want to negotiate with us. But, if you take a little bit of your time for looking at the map, you will see that an arrangement with our neighbors will probably not be necessary for our liberation, as our great ally, Chile, is coming to rescue all the countries that suffer the oppression of the Hellenic yoke. And, as the real Gamal Abdel Nasser said some decades ago, “what was taken by force can only be restored by force”. Let’s stand up against Greece to help our allies in the destruction of the cradle of the democracy.

Finally, I would like to say that I’m so glad that citizens have placed their trust in me for a second non-consecutive term. I’m sure my administration and me will reach our most important priority: a Congress of the people, by the people, to the people.

Long live for our country!


Time to stand up. / Hora d'aixecar-se.

Al Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes digué que “un regne dividit en si mateix no podrà resistir”. La mateixa frase la faria famosa un discurs d’un dels meus referents polítics, Abraham Lincoln. És ben sabut que viure en un conflicte permanent destruirà aquest país i als seus ciutadans. El que ara necessitem és concentrar-nos en aspectes en els que podem coïncidir com a egipcis i catalans vivint junts; oblidem-nos de demagogs i d’agitadors polítics, dels quals, desafortunadament, anem sobrats, i intentem posar la nostra ment en intentar participar en les institucions del nostre país, com en el Govern; ajudaré a qualsevol que ho demani a entrar a la meva administració. He guanyat les eleccions per l’únic partit presentat de la facció catalana, però no sóc només el seu President: també el de tots els altres egipcis de totes les nacionalitats que volen el millor per a la perla del Nil, que saben que només junts salvarem el país.

Seré franc: la nostra situació és ara millor del que era fa mesos. Sí, hem estat sense Congrés durant massa temps i sí, Grècia segueix sense voler negociar amb nosaltres. Però si invertiu una mica del vostre temps en mirar el mapa veureu que un acord amb els nostres veïns, probablement, no calgui per a la nostra alliberació, ja que el nostre gran aliat, Xile, està venint a marxes forçades per a rescatar els països que sofreixen l’opressió del jou hel·lènic. I, com el Gamal Abdel Nasser real digué fa unes dècades, “el que fou pres per la força només pot ésser recuperat per la força”. Aixequem-nos contra els grecs per a ajudar als nostres aliats en la destrucció del bressol de la democràcia.

Finalment, voldria dir-vos que estic molt orgullós de que hagueu dipositat per segon cop no consecutiu la vostra confiança en mi. Estic segur de que aquesta administració assolirà la seva prioritat més important: un Congrés de la gent, per la gent i per a la gent.
