If You Were The PotUS...A Writing Contest

Day 1,704, 15:55 Published in USA Canada by Acacia Mason

I produced an article earlier today entitled, "If I Was The PotUS". It can be very easy to criticize the actions of an individual when you yourself choose not to put your own ideas out there for judgement. Part of the reason for my writing was that it would be unfair for me to criticize Evry if I was not going to step up and offer up what I would do. Kind of like an Armchair PotUS if you will.

This got me thinking…what if I asked other people to do the same thing? What sort of ideas and suggestions might we gather if the collective intelligence and creativity of the Nation was tapped? What if I asked you, what would you do?

Tonight I am announcing a writing contest with a small pot of gold as a prize to the top article. Article submissions will be judged by….you guessed it…a panel of past CP's. Who better to judge ideas, than those who have chosen to sit in the hot seat. I am currently constructing the panel and I am hoping to have a panel of 3 plus myself to judge.

The contest opens tonight and will close on Thursday, day 1710, at 16:00 eRep. The winning article will be announced within days of the closing.

If you wish to participate all you have to do is write and publish your article, and then PM the link to your article to me so it can be added to the list of articles being considered. The focus of your article should be, What would I do if I was the PotUS today, and what would I do to move the Nation forward post Can-Am conflict?

Write as though you are the leader of the United States and tell us all how you would run the country during this most recent crisis.

With all the negativity and such in the media as of late, why not turn it into something positive. There is no reason why we as a Nation, can't create a thing of beauty out of something very ugly. Sometimes the best ideas come from sharing and brainstorming.

Maybe instead of criticizing Congress and the Executive, perhaps we could give them some ideas to work with and some solutions to run with that have not yet been considered or perhaps have been considered, but looked at in a different light.

Don't get me wrong…governments need to be called out when they get it wrong, but perhaps we can call them out AND give them some material to work with.

I look forward to reading your submissions!

God Bless America
