If You Aren't Pissing People Off Then You Ain't Doin It Right

Do you think that's true?

I do.

Sometimes to do what is necessary you have to piss a few people off. The essence of compromise is that neither side leaves the table happy. That's the way it is.

Sitting in that big chair is not easy. I'm sure Connell can attest to this. He was one of my biggest critics when I was CP. (No hard feelings, love. I rather enjoyed your rhetoric. Made me work harder.) As a CP, you are constantly the target for discontent and negative feedback. If you don't keep the people occupied they start fighting with each other. Your job is to remove obstacles, bring vision and focus to the people, and make sure Ireland's best interests are kept in mind. Sounds straight forward. However, the implementation is, well, quite a task.

Now, I don't know what happened with the treasury. I don't know all the facts, so I will reserve judgement.

I do know that the training wars are a welcome change. So welcome, that I have finally attained Field Marshal status! I am very happy about that.

I don't know what the changes the Admins have "blessed" us with means yet. I suppose we will be looking at more of a v1 type scenario with the addition of unfavorable alliance rules. We have moved into EDEN on a trial basis. We need to make the most of that. Full participation. Apathy is not an option. All that jazz.

People have been complaining about wanting this stuff. Well, here it is. Use it.

Is Connell the greatest CP that ever was? No. Has he made some boo boos? Sure, haven't we all? Has he done some things right? Absolutely. While I may not agree with him 100% there is no doubt in my mind he is loyal to Ireland. That works for me.
