Flashback and predictions for Project Icarus by the people running it

Q: How was life before?

milano13: Boring and exhausting.
Asterios C: Happy. Peaceful. I didn’t log in that much. Damn you aviation!
Precious Box: I enjoyed my Sunday coffee with my best buddy without him asking: “What is this you are doing, again?”
apostol1322: A boring Monday. Rainy. Without internet access or data (#worst_feeling_ever)
Zeus Christou: Relaxing, simple everyday preoccupation with the game. Aviation = a new frontier?

Q: Tell us something of landmark value.

milano13: When I was a new player and I was sending private messages to older ones, quite a few of them never responded. So I decided to launch a project to help those new players like I once was while also boosting the aviation damage of the country.
Asterios C: Plato Foundation. Both when it first rolled out a grant and when it pulled it back.
Precious Box: The nice unity atmosphere that was there, the desire to help and how much a loathed that ‘turturika’ or whatever she was called.
apostol1322: AdeksiosDeskios. The first one on the alphabetical roster. I always started things off with him.
Zeus Christou: My having met the guys who run the project. I’ve seen, after a long time, that the interest to help fellow players is not dead.

Q: If anything changed because of it, what’s that?

milano13: Something changed. Back then I would eat it. Now I give it. My contribution to new players.
Asterios C: My Tuesdays. And my knowledge of Google Spreadsheets functions.
Precious Box: I’ve become extremely fast with copy+paste. I remembered the rule of three. I exclaimed for the first time: “Oh, snap it’s Sunday!”
apostol1322: I’ve become more proficient in math with all the functions and numbers involved
Zeus Christou: My Tuesdays become more stressful for sure.

Q: Do you wonder if there is life after it?

milano13: If the project stops, I’ll start crying for sure. It is in some way identified with my game.
Asterios C: No. I’m sure there is. And I pray it comes soon.
Precious Box: Yeah, there is. Let them bicker.
apostol1322: After you there’s only chaos. After you there’s nothing.
Zeus Christou: No, I don’t. If we don’t manage to maintain the project at least he would have tried our best, which means that it simply run its course.

Q: Mythological Icarus drowned, because he flew too high. What about this one?

milano13: This one is yet to reach its apex.
Asterios C: This one has a lot of mileage left to fly.
Precious Box: There’ll ups and downs, but milano knows how to swim.
apostol1322: Our Icarus has wings made in Greece, built out of steel. We’ve not just used some cheap glue stick for the feathers. 😛
Zeus Christou: He flies supersonic, without any signs of slowing down….

Q: Do you have anything to add that you would like people to know?

milano13: Yes, 3 things actually. 1. The success trifecta is PASOK-OUZO-MYKONOS. 2. Instagram for women, facebook for men. Add me, babes. 3. Kerosene is running out, chip in for fuel, or we’ll be on bikes soon.
Asterios C: There’s people behind the avatars. Act like it.
Precious Box: This game won’t restart. Leave your mark by showing off the best part of yourself.
apostol1322: Project Icarus is a hallmark name by now, because of the aviators, both old and new, but also all the people running it.
Zeus Christou: To the people contributing to the project: They are many, they do it anonymously, not for self-promotion, but only to help those in need. Thank you very much.

Ε: Πώς ήταν η ζωή πριν;

milano13: Βαρετή και κουραστική.
Asterios C: Χαρούμενη. Γαλήνια. Δεν loggαρα τόσο πριν. Ανάθεμά σε αεροπορία!
Precious Box: Χαιρόμουν τον κυριακάτικο καφέ με τον κολλητό χωρίς να με ρωτά "Τι είπαμε είναι αυτό που κάνεις; "
apostol1322: Θα το παρομοίαζα σαν μια Δευτέρα, βροχερή, χωρίς ίντερνετ και χωρίς Data (Worst feeling ever).
Zeus Christou: Χαλαρή, απλή καθημερινή ενασχόληση με τα του παιχνιδιού. Αεροπορία = μια νέα μάχη?

Ε: Πες μας κάτι που υπήρξε σημείο αναφοράς.

milano13: Όταν ήμουν νέος και έστελνα μηνύματα στους μεγαλύτερους, κάποιοι δε μου απάντησαν ποτέ. Έτσι θεώρησα σκόπιμο να ξεκινήσω ένα πρόγραμμα για να βοηθήσω τους νέους και να επεκτείνουμε το αεροπορικό damage της χωράς.
Asterios C: Το Plato Foundation. Και όταν μας έδωσε επιδότηση και όταν την έκοψε.
Precious Box: Το καλό κλίμα ενότητας που υπήρχε, η όρεξη για βοήθεια και το πόσο μισούσα αυτή την turturika η όπως την λένε.
apostol1322: Ο AdeksiosDeksios. Ο πρώτος στον κατάλογο. Πάντα από αυτόν ξεκινούσα.
Zeus Christou: Η γνωριμία μου με τα παιδιά που τρέχουν το πρόγραμμα! Είδα μετά από πολύ καιρό, πως δεν έχει πεθάνει το ενδιαφέρον για τους συμπαίκτες μας στο παιχνίδι….

Ε: Αν εξ’ αιτίας του άλλαξε κάτι, τι είναι αυτό;

milano13: Κάτι άλλαξε. Τότε τον έτρωγα, τώρα τον δίνω. Τον οβολό μου στους νέους.
Asterios C: Οι Τρίτες μου. Και οι γνώσεις μου για τις συναρτήσεις στα Google Spreadsheets.
Precious Box: Έγινα πολύ γρήγορος στο copy/paste. Ξαναθυμήθηκα την μέθοδο των τριών. Είπα για πρώτη φορά "Ωχ Κυριακή"
apostol1322: Έγινα λίγο καλύτερος στα μαθηματικά, με τόσες συναρτήσεις και αριθμούς που υπάρχουν εκεί μέσα.
Zeus Christou: Οι Τρίτες μου στάνταρ έγιναν πιο αγχώδεις!

Ε: Αναρωτιέσαι αν υπάρχει ζωή μετά;

milano13: Σίγουρα αν το πρόγραμμα σταματήσει θα βάλω τα κλάματα. Έχει κατά κάποιο τρόπο ταυτιστεί με το παιχνίδι μου.
Asterios C: Όχι. Είμαι σίγουρος πως υπάρχει. Και προσεύχομαι να έρθει σύντομα.
Precious Box: Ναι μωρέ, αστούς να λένε
apostol1322: Μετά από σένα το χάος. Μετά από σένα το τίποτα.
Zeus Christou: Όχι, αν δεν καταφέρουμε να το διατηρήσουμε, θα έχει γίνει μετά από πολύ μεγάλη προσπάθεια από όλους μας, κάτι που σημαίνει πως απλά ολοκληρώθηκε άλλος ένας κύκλος.

Ε: Ο Ίκαρος της μυθολογίας πνίγηκε, επειδή πέταξε πολύ ψηλά. Αυτός εδώ;

milano13: Αυτός εδώ δεν έχει φτάσει ακόμα στο υψηλότερο σημείο του.
Asterios C: Αυτός εδώ έχει μπόλικα μίλια να πετάξει ακόμα.
Precious Box: Σκαμπανεβάσματα θα υπάρχουν, αλλά ξέρει καλό κολύμπι ο milano.
apostol1322: Ο Ίκαρος ο δικός μας έχει φτερά εγχώρια, κατασκευασμένα από ατσάλι. Και δεν αρκεστήκαμε σε μία κόλλα UHU για να κολλήσουμε τα φτερά 😛
Zeus Christou: Πετάει υπερηχητικά, χωρίς εμφανή σημάδια κόπωσης…...

Ε: Έχεις κάτι να προσθέσεις που θα ήθελες να ξέρει ο κόσμος;

milano13: Ναι, 3 πράγματα: 1. Το τρίπτυχο της επιτυχίας είναι ΠΑΣΟΚ-ΟΥΖΟ-ΜΥΚΟΝΟΣ 2. Το instagram για γυναίκες, το facebook για άντρες. Κάνε με add, μωρό. 3. Οι κηροζίνες τελειώνουν, τζοντάρετε για καύσιμα, αλλιώς μας βλέπω με ποδήλατο.
Asterios C: Πίσω από τα προφίλ υπάρχουν άνθρωποι. Φερθείτε ανάλογα.
Precious Box: Αυτό το παιχνίδι δεν θα ξαναπαιχτεί από την αρχή, άσε το στίγμα σου λοιπόν με τον καλύτερο μέρος του εαυτού σου.
apostol1322: Το πρόγραμμα Ικαρος είναι ένα όνομα και πιστεύω έγινε αυτό που είναι τώρα, εξαιτίας των αεροπόρων του προγράμματος, είτε παλαιών είτε νέων, αλλά και όλων όσων τρέχουν το πρόγραμμα πίσω από τη σκηνή.
Zeus Christou: Στους ανθρώπους που προσφέρουν στο πρόγραμμα: Είναι πολλοί, το κάνουν ανώνυμα και δεν το κάνουν για την προβολή τους, παρά μόνο για να βοηθήσουν όσους το έχουν ανάγκη. Τους ευχαριστούμε πολύ.
