I want to go on a Great Crusade

Greetings Bros,

Would anyone like to go on a Crusade?

For the past couple weeks I've been logging onto erepublik less and less, partially because my schedule is busier.

Who else is preparing for finals?

However as time went on I realized that my fuller schedule wasn't the only thing that was making me less interested in erepublik. It has also been our lack of a narrative. I don't think we've had a single great campaign since I returned to this game. I thought for a while that SPQR would develop into something but those praising SPQR have been silent for quite a while now. Whether thats because they are (hopefully) just biding their time to make some big move I don't know. What I do know is that I'm bored.

I don't think this is necessarily anyone's fault, but rather the result of our circumstances. When there's a mindless idiot and his horde of minions trying to PTO the country its generally better to focus your efforts on preventing the PTO than embarking on some difficult narrative driven Quest that will take up much of the country's time and effort while the PTO grows stronger. It is also to difficult considering our recently unstable foreign relations. When your alliance situation is uncertain, establishing a good narrative and embarking on a crusade grows increasingly difficult.

I must say however that I am growing more hopeful that such a thing should come about. This is primarily for three reasons. First is because I believe Vanek has done and will continue to do a good job. The second is because hopefully now that we are officially a member of CoT our alliance situation will become more stable. And finally because we have made substantial gains against the PTOers in recent months, and so long as we continue this trend I don't think it could be that long until we are on solid footing domestically, and internationally.

At least thats what I hope for anyway, because otherwise I think this game will become too boring for me. I want to have something to rally behind against, whether its retaking our land from imperialist aggressors, standing ready to kill redcoats, or retaking Lion King, Hello Kitty, and Karmic Taco in the Three Pillars campaign, the times that are the most fun in this game (for me) are when we have a great narrative.

Narrative, it is nothing and it is
