This is my first article and i wrote it in hope that people of eRepublik will realize the basic concepts of selling products on the market. Buying stuff on the market is easy, you just open the first page of market and u buy the top object on the list which is always cheapest. On the other hand selling stuff is the fun part of the game, everybody is looking for a fast way to earn some fast cash. Before we get to the good part of this article and go all crazy about the numbers and facts, i would like to draw a simple picture in your head about what some of u are doing as you play this game. By this i don't mean u pervs mastrubating while playing and other crazy thing u people do 🙂
I will stop now with comments and start making my point, because if i continue like this this article will become a 1k paged book and i will be forced to sell it to you for 9.99$ per copy.
So u did your research, made a business plan, asked a bank for a loan,even some foreign investors contacted you in hopes of buy some shares in your company, you get all the papers done. And now you are a proud owner of a small company which is making portable home devices for a cold fusion. The planet goes crazy people love you with all their hearts. They build you a statue and worship places etc... Some time after the starship on hes way to peaceful exploration of the galaxy, going where no man has gone before, at warp 6.2, on star date 41153.7. passing through our solar system, detects your cold fusion reactor operating at its peak efficiency and decides to make first contact. At that time you were working on your new cold fusion prototype trying to implement some fancy new designs and ... Suddenly a light starts to appear in the middle of the room, you start to think you did something wrong, that you have accidentally made a black hole which will devour earth into no existence. The longer u stare at the light the clearer it gets to you, some kind of humanoid shaped creature is starting to appear out of thin air. Finally the forming of the strange creature is finished. You still cant believe your eyes, so you take out your pen and pin yourself in hope of waking out of your dream. But the tall humanoid with pointy ears and crazy eyebrows rises hes hand making a gesture.

"Live long and prosper" he said. I am Spock of the united federation of planets i come i peace... (After long talk you start to talk about your product, Spock starts asking you tons of questions and eventually u come to a matter of economics, so he asks you) ...It is a fine peace of engineering, how do you make it and how much does it cost? Since there was no easy way to explain this. You start by explaining your country political system, economy model, the marketplace, and finally u get to the numbers. And you go something like: Well commander Spock, depending on the territory we currently occupy we need from 10 to 20 raw materials to produce each part of our device. Spock:"Go on please", so you continue: "Depending on the raw material used we get from 10 to 20 parts we can use to make our cold fusion reactor. The reactor consists of 7 parts we call them the "Q".
Spock: "You know the "
You: "WTF ?!?!?!"
Spock: "Never mind, please continue."
You: "So for each of the 7Q parts we have separate factory and we call them factory Q1 to Q7 respectively, and we have 5 different companies types for raw materials production. After we finish production we make a "Do it yourself kits" and send them to our consumers. Spock:"So how much does your Q1 part cost for example?" You:"Well this last few days have been hell, the economy is unstable since some guy Plato used my fusion reactor to power hes time machine and go back to past. He erased all the peoples hard work and made the present the way it is. So today the lowest market price for one peace of Q1 hardware today was around 3.05RSD."
Spock: "And how much raw material did you need for one peace of Q1 hardware, and what was its market value today?"
You: "As for Raw material we are currently working with 140% capacity, so we need 14 units of raw to produce 1 peace of Q1 hardware, and the price was around 0.33 RSD."
Spock: "Hm... That is ILLOGICAL ! The Borg! must be behind this. You act like Borg drones 14 raw units at today's market price costs 4.62 RSD and you sell your 1 piece of hardware for 3.05 RSD. You should stop producing your hardware and find other uses for your raw materials or sell it if you can" You: "But commander if we stop producing we cant make reactors" Spock: "This is all highly ILLOGICAL! I must investigate this matter immediately! Looks like this Plato is part of some Borg collective. I must try to fix this by going back into the past. Spock to enterprise one to beam up! Energize!" After the events that took place, you start to think ... Before Enterprise left earth orbit commander Spock sent you a friend's request on Facebook and posted on your wall the link explaining your current hardware production viability.
Hope u enjoyed me painting picture in your head 🙂 I bet Star Trek fans did. So we come to the main reason i wrote this article.
