27 January, 2010, Day 799 of the New World – Today is the day that I finally live up to both my joke and probable target for this month. After a month of building up reserves, financing endeavors overseas, and securing our allies, we are now poised to strike.

THIS IS A BLOCK

Yes, this absolutely is a blocking move. But wait a minute; we’re running a Bayonets for Britons (free guns)? That’s because although this is a blocking battle I want to get us well trained and armed – as well as stick it to those limeys.

Therefore anyone not of the in-game rank of Field Marshal is eligible for Bayonets for Britons. Generals? Of course. Privates? Hell yes. Just click on any of those links I just put above or click here.

Use this as an opportunity to claim battle hero, or throw that wall into the ground so far it’ll make their head spin. Either way it goes, we’re good. Also, thanks to their previous blocking attempts while we launched into Asia, many of our allies get to tag along.

Lame Duck Week?

This also is the first time the United States has entered the European continent in over a year. Seems like I have lead you guys all over the world – all that’s left is South America and I will leave that for a future President.

Many have said I am now sitting in as a lame duck, a President unable to move due to a shifting political climate. I look over at the battle I just opened and smile. I hope this was not too late, and I apologize for making you all wait so long.

Former President Harrison Richardson signing my cast.
I was so excited that I hit the attack button too hard.

No doubt, the real invasion of the United Kingdom mainland may or may not come during my Presidency. Either way, it has been an honor to serve as your Commander and Chief, to lead this nation in our first successful offensive campaign in our history, to be the first eRepublik nation to liberate not one, but two high iron regions from former occupiers. To be the President of the greatest community I have been involved in.

To put away some questions I have heard, I will definitely not be running for reelection. I will not become a two-clicker. I will not drop into the shadows. I will do what my country and successor ask of me, as I have done since my birth just a year ago.

Thank you, nation.
