I am emberassed
Octavius Dryst
Tonight I managed to persuade a friend to join the game. After some argument I convinced him to live in Ireland. Among my list of arguments were ample, well paying, state jobs until he gets his feet on the ground. To my and his dismay there are no jobs available for entry level employees. So his progress in the rather slow early stages of this game has been hampered. And my promise of a good nation to join and begin, and hopefully continue, the game in has been slightly tainted. I do not wish to be accusatory, and I love my nation of Ireland. But what is going on? Why can't I find my novice friend a job in the same manner I found one for myself when I first started playing? If Ireland is expecting to attract new players this is certainly not the way to do it.

I thought that the state provided jobs to newcomers ? Your friend can always message me in game and I will help him/her out as best I can.
........and you should be embarrassed about your spelling 🙂 lol
Seriously though, I would hate to lose someone due to no jobs available so if there really is an issue then I will look into it in my official capacity as congressman for the North-East.

If he can't help you I'm sure he knows who can.
I have just checked and there are three jobs for level 0 citizens, two with state industries and one private. The link to find them is here.... http://www.erepublik.com/en/human-resources/country-54-domain-all-skill-1" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/human-resour[..]ll-1
I cant spell for the life of me. If it werent for spell check I probably couldnt get a sentence out correctly ha. Thanks for the link and the info. I wonder why he and I couldnt find any in the 20 or so minutes we searched around the job market. Probably full up on employees at the time maybe?
I am a newbie. I was working for Irish State Housing and found out I couldn't work one day because they couldn't pay me. Why is that? I was able to switch to a new company, but I really liked working for the construction industry. 🙁
Anyway, I'm still learning, and I'm not discouraged in the least. I had carefully considered my options before choosing Ireland, and Ireland is where I'll stay. I'm eager to get involved with the political process once I have enough experience. 😃
