Join the new world

We need to have MPPs with small countries in war zones, instead of large countries who represent the top 2-3 emigrants in eNZ. That would be fair, and more neutral.

The national language of NZ is English, yes, but there is no official language of eNZ.

As I've said countless times before, you can draw zero comparisons between eNZ and NZ besides name and location. That is it.

Also, you "approve" of the MPPs? Who gave you the right to think that your opinion matters so greatly that you'd state such a thing in such words? Our MPPs are not set out to balance everything out, but to choose the ones that benefit eNZ the most, economically and militarily.

I would never think of myself as highly as you do yourself. I may be a hardass most of the time, and I might have trouble admitting my faults, as anyone does, but I still don't go around saying "speak English!". Let it not be said I have ever been a bigot.

If I'm writing for NZ public then I'll do it in English but if my article is intended for my Serbian subscribers then I'll write it in my own language. If you don't like it then contact admins and force them to give back freedom of speech and allow as to publish in other countries.

Dimitrij, I think you do have a right to publish in Serbian for your Serbian subscribers.

But the most common language spoken by most everyone here is English (as it is a well known, internationally used language), so official eNZ publications should be in English.

I don't disagree, I think we should have the ability to publish in any country that we choose.

If I were to publish an article in English, I'd like to be able to have it translated in Serbian or Spanish (which seem to be the two major immigrant languages spoken here in eNZ)

Dimitrij Ivanov: I do not think that Serbia try to PTO NZ, but if you only write in Serb, no one in NZ (the ones that do not speak serb) will no understand, and we may think that all you are PTOs. I only write in Spanish for the articles in Mexico and Spain, and Most of my Subscribers, come from these countries.

And another point here. If yor people really want to help NZ, we really need to undertand you, Serbians make more that 50% of the NZ population and you have the power to make a diference here. If we join to EDEN or PHOENIX, will be the result of your actions.

Bristel, your reasoning is faulty. Just because a lot of the people speak a certain language, doesn't mean that everyone should speak it. It just so happens that a lot of people that have come here do speak it.

If this country had a naturalization process as long as most real life nations, I would agree. But, seeing as all one needs to do is have a congressperson accept them, then you shouldn't expect them to speak in the language everyone does.

The majority is only a coincidence, in other words.

Yhamilitz, they can't do the same thing you do, because they can only publish in where they are located. If they had created an organization before creating their newspaper, then they could do that, since they don't have to worry about citizenship.

But, seeing as how their subscriber count is tied to their citizen account, their only choice is to either give up that number and satisfy a small group of people that can't handle an article not being written in English, or simply publish the article anyway and keep that number. I don't think it takes a genius to see the route that most would take.

Finally, we're not going to join EDEN or PHOENIX, so I don't really understand why you would say "if", since no one here would allow such a scenario to occur.

The real official language of NZ is Maori, actually. But it's English by default. And that should be respected by everyone.

You tell us to use translators, why don't YOU use a translator and DEAL WITH IT.

tbf most NZers now speak Serbian, which is why they win elections. However, English is a common language for pretty much everyone. Whilst the RL lanuage of NZ is English, this isn't RL, but as it is the most understood tongue it would be nice to include translations.

Darkmantle, this is not NZ. This is eNZ. Don't confuse the two like you confuse the phrase "protecting a country" with "stealing its money".

Mladen, there's no need to be rude here. If you want to write articles you can put them in any language you want, I don't care and I won't stop you. I just think anything that comes from the government should have at a minimum a translation in English.

As a RL New Zealander, there is no "real" official language of New Zealand. We have 2 which are widely used, both Maori and English. English is used for pretty much everything, although there are a lot of place names, common phrases, etc. in Maori. There's a Maori language channel on TV, but that's probably the only place I know where Maori is treated as the primary language. It's more part of our culture than a spoken language.

Most of the articles that come from the eSerbians outside of the government are inconsequential to eNZ and have no bearing on anything.

These calls for "English translations" are by paranoid children that think they're being insulted in another language, or are being conspired against.

No matter how many times you call for translations, the fact of the matter is that no one is going to do what they don't want to do, whether you like it or not, because you have no way of stopping them. You should just get used to it.
