I am against the proposed Union of eUNL and eUK

Why is it possible? Giving up our country to live under one banner of another nation?
I must say I am against a merger with the eUK. Are we so useless we have to give the control of our nation in the hands of another?
1. Why not?
First of all, NLG would become useless.
Yes the government will help but can it replace all the uselles NLG for valiable Gold?
Second, do you really know this isn't an action of eUK imperialism? Yes, eUNL and eUK are friends but this action can be seen as a "good" way to conquer our country. Nobody will say anything because eUNL have given the permission to conquer it.
Third, look at population size! 1000 eUNL citizens vs 8000 eUK citizens... Looks like congress will exist with majorty of britains...
Fourth, We are dependant of eUK from now on. Even if we have a another opinion we shall not have a stance because our voice shall not be heard in the crowded population full of eUK citizens!
2. Make your voices be heard! Who is standing by me?
Just vote the article up and don't forget to comment!

You will get GBP for your NLG, so thats not a problem..
And this is not an action of impearlism, because UNL approached UK for this!
And the UNLers WILL have a vote in this new country.
I am sort of behind you as I don't see a guarantee of autonomy for the eUNL regions within this new union.
I am for britian there will be more jobs more activiteis
and a stronger army and if they have evil plans we will just start freedom wars

there is a clause in the constitution that we can break up the union whenever we want.

I am totally against a union.
If I wanted to be British, I'd have opted to be a citizen of eUK when I joined.
I do hope that the government will hold a referendum before doing anything rash. This will lead to the end of the eDutch and eDutch culture and language.

Belgium merged with Netherlands, it is exactly the same things ! Belgium weren't a lot and Netherlands were. Belgian live under a banner of another country too!
Belgium and Netherlands are stronger together and UNL and UK will be stronger together.
So, if you were belgian, Were you against the merger between Belgium and Netherlands?
This merger is totally not a good idea. What's this dutch obsession with mergers? The politic process will not fairly distributed at all. on dutch dude on every 8 english? It's alot harder to give the dutch a vote then. I mean, look at the Belgian Party, they didn't have a large group of members but they were a strong party. Within the UK a party like that will probably something like MIB is here.

Lets not devolve into an anti-UK hysteria, the UK is still a friend of the UNL. If we arent going to merge then we should definately ally.
agree on a referendum, a none binding one I hope for. 🙂 I'm opposed to this Union but I would like to see the rest of eUNL's thoughts.

Dylan I wasnt against because I know belgian was in trouble by a Political Takeover. They had 2 choses, give belgian to the spaniards or to their friends the Netherlands.

The merger between Belgium and Netherlands was done under Consensus, actually, that was quite obvious: Belgium somewhat equalled the Netherlands regarding inhabitants and there was a real 'need' for a merger. This merger I simply cannot agree upon, we the dwarf that is going to merge with a giant. In the end, we'll be just a parasite.

We will see about that come the time and the hour. If there is no merger then defence must be our absolute priority, because one day they will knock on the door of Wallonia and the Southern Netherlands.
