I'm not dead yet

Day 1,151, 10:21 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Sir Humphrey Appleby

Good evening UKRP!

As has already been announced on the forums, I am once again running for Party President.

After a splendid double term in office, Daniel Thorrold has helped stabilise the party and got us back on track to helpfully mentoring new players and securing several successful congressional elections for eager players ready to help the eUK into the high reaches of prosperity. After an interesting election this month on the 5th, we managed to summon a very positive share of the vote; demonstrating our growing concordance with the ideals that a progressing country needs.

This month, I wish to prolong this note; and reconcile our party with the core values of the game: Community, entertainment, respect and enjoyment. I have often found that long, established parties such as ours have always survived through the usual rough patches of the game, closure thwarted by our enduring aptitude to all pull together and put our shoulder’s to the wheel, fighting back to regain our true position in eBritish politics.

It is with this tradition in mind that I wish to emboss our recent successes, and to work even harder to secure stronger positions to help our society. As a former Party President, I am quite aware of the constraints of office. This is why I have deliberately picked this term as it is one most suited for the Party President agendum. An active and eager Party President is crucial to the triumph of our community.

With a strong and active group of members to rely on, I’m sure our combined efforts can entwine our prosperous contributions to our proud society.

Yours,

Sir Humphrey Appleby MP, Former Party President
