I'm Bored
Savonrepus
If you are bored I am ashamed. It is come to my attention that at this time a group of eAutralians want to up and move to another country because it sounds like a good idea.
If you think the grass is greener on the other side of the hill could it be that you are not prepared to cultivate the grass on your side? Why then do you think you are going to be any better at cultivating the grass somewhere else?
Right now there has never ever been better opportunities than being in eAustralia. Personally I am getting messages and having to accommodate others who wish to move here. We have the challenge of building a country from scratch - no money - economy shattered - no funds to run the army properly - yet bit by bit we have been making the hard decisions to actually rebuild a nation again.
You want to leave when the job is half done? Never before has eAustalia had a credible plan to invade anther nation. Yet we are doing it. We are doing it now and we are doing it by maximising the few resources that we have and being smart diplomatically. You are not going to be able to be a part of this revolution any where else in the whole eworld.
Not in the entire nations history have we invaded another country with a credible plan. To up and leave for pie in the sky to me suggests a character that is more interested in maintaining the humility of domination than feeling the exhilaration of achievement.
I can say by any measurement scale - if you wish to feel good inside you are going to be much better off swimming in the river of achievement rather than drowning in the whirlpool of domination

Heil eAustralia !
Never said i was bored Sav, i have been fighting a losing battle for the past 7 months, putting countless hours of my life into eAustralia. To be honest i really couldn't careless what others say. Now that eAustralia is finally winning i feel it is time to have small break, try something completely new, a challenge. GL guys i wish you all the best.

Your underlying point is valid, but for the record, this isn't the first time we've invaded another country while having an actual "plan". We invaded eNZ the first time for war games and to boost the economy (it improved the exchange rate by 5 AUD). Also, we invaded a Indo region in the past round of wars as an initiative blocking maneuver.
I was considering moving but have decided not too. I consider eAus my home and will stay here for the time being.
I support the "New Age" thinking of the government as it has become obvious that our allies are too fickle to support us reliably in becoming free of the Indo imperialists.
I do think the current government needs to aspire to greater achievements in education, communication and military reform. Many in the current government blasted previous administrations for not doing enough in those areas, but now have themselves shown a lack of commitment to those same areas. It makes one wonder if it was all political rhetoric. We're almost half-way through the term of this government and the communication output is but a trickle compared to some other previous administrations.
I agree Sav, eAussies should be treating this as golden opportunity to start fresh.
I can say this is one of the first times I've seen eAussies run from a challenge.
We need some leadership - someone to organise, someone to inspire everyone.
i have been tempted to leave but have decided against it. for 2 years i have played the "rebuild the country" game in eAustralia and never the fight other countries on equal footing like all the other decent ones. i feel like everything ive done over all this time has been a massive waste as we are basically in the same position we were when i started those 2 years ago
also keep in mind that i havent left eAus at all unlike some of the other players have for a month or 2 around the place
A great 19th-century American figure once said, "Don't change horses in the middle of the stream."
Kinda-sorta relevant.
Hi-O Silver!
I blame ADHD.
We need a serious babyboom.
We've got enough Babies already Arf... we need them to grow up and act mature for a change.
"We need some leadership - someone to organise, someone to inspire everyone."
Luckily we have that in Sir C.
Yes, I thrive on the government daily inspirational leadership articles. zzzzzzzz.
As an intern for eAus I endorse this message.
No wait I have yet to be given a roll or any guidance even though I have message to see what I can do to help. so I don't endorse this.
come back another day!
I thought this was a land swap??? Invasion you say?
Very interesting.
@Wally - unlike other forms of entertainment eRepublik is about taking initiative. If you want something where it is all done for you I suggest you hang up your keyboard and go watch a movie.
@Xanther yes my understanding is that we are working towards the land swap agreement -
sav, we spoke about this on skype... it's temporary... i thought you understood that... : P
He did this because he is clearly a noob... :/
