I'm Angry
NoRealityLife
Welcome to South Africa. The Country that EVERYONE wants to be a part of. So much so that everyone keeps moving!
I'm tired of it.
4 congress members have resigned and 3 have changed citizenship.
We still have members of Military units that are no longer eSA citizens.
Yet we celebrate these players. Players move, and we continue to happily wait for them to come back. Allow them to benefit from our military units.
We are okay with it when they run for congress, take our positions, our votes, our loyalty, and then take THEIR 5 Gold and leave the country.
They announce they are leaving and people wish them well, and salute them, as they "Promise guns in eSA's time of need" If they really want to help eSA maybe they could donate the 5 Gold they earned from us back to the country.
EDIT: My bloods a little cooler now and I wanted to clarify what I mean by "celebrated."
I think it's great that we have friends and influential players in other countries and don't think ties should be cut or anything. I just don't think that "Well-wishes" are the way to go. We should be fighting to keep them as part of our country, convincing them to stay. I've lived other places and have yet to find a country as tight-knit as eSA.

I understand your unhappiness. Myself ran only to keep a PTO runner out. I didnt qualify but he was disqualified by Admin as a multi and I came in as the last wildcard with 1 vote.I didnt expect it but my job was done to stop him.Certain pressures made me resign and Im now an eAustralian. Im not a member of any eSA unit but current 2nd CO of an Australian MU. My taxes+import taxes still contribute to eSA's treasury. I didnt announce leaving and nobody saluted me.Rather ask WHY people are leaving
Thanks for the help with the PTO, I'm just venting here as I see many influential citizens disappearing.
"WHY" is a great question that might be a good thing to have an answer for.

eSA is going nowhere, there's no light at the end of the tunnel and meanwhile we sit around debating how to punish those leaving.
I'd like to ask why anyone is still around, not why people are leaving.
I encourage that people should seek to be whatever, do whatever and go wherever they feel most fulfilled. Ultimately, we're all in this game for ourselves, we all play to gratify self, in whatever way, be it social, economic, political or miltary. We are all free to play this game however we want to, we're also all free to complain and be opinionated about how other people play the game. So let the healthy debating begin! : )

I am here because I love this place more than all others.

Rico if you expecting eSA to be a super power your going to be waiting a long time.
Who is still getting support after they've left.

voted. But honestly i cant blame most for leaving, especially considering how the admins literally give medals out for being part of a bigger country with wars to fight. Why wouldn't you move to eUS? you have 100/100 bonus, wars to get the patriot medal, you'll even get the NE influence bonus.
The reason i am still here is because of the people, but people arent gonna treat you any different on the basis of your citizenship, so literally theres no point in staying in eSA.
FFS stupid limit!
to continue....: This doesn't mean i am gonna move away tomorrow or next month or maybe ever. But unless eSA has a war(which we know wont happen) or a real reason to stick around for where you need the eSA citizenship(not friendships and community, as they are not limited to citizenship) i dont think people can be blamed for leaviing. The way they do it is however sad, running for office and then leaving(not counting El Fidel, he did it for a good cause) is a shame.
Voted, bit at least as people come and go, we get to meet some new friends...
We should celebrate those who have always been around...

@Ari: Oh, I am not. There however is a big gap between being a dying puppet state and a super power. I'd like to explore that gap.
You sound amgry. Have a cookie.
I've had loads. They usually help but not his time.. Thanks though.
Perhaps a special CW cookie from Durban.
I like the dialogue this has caused. I think that it's good to see everyone's thoughts. I think Damien makes a great point regarding the bonuses that other countries get, due to being big.
If you are putting so much time and effort into "The Game" yet the admins continue to keep it unbalanced, what is the benefit of staying with your loyalties, when they ultimately handicap you? I still don't necessarily like "How" people are doing it though.
