Huge taxes on Food Companies!
These Companies barely have some profit!
Something's got to change!
The taxes on Food Companies make the life of their owners a nightmare, they have to strugle in making a minimum profit, so that they can keep their companies going on. Not only that they have to spent money on improving their company, so that they can actualy make some money - because with 1 star food company you won't make any profit - but they have to pay their employees.
I don't know who, or how can this situation can be improved, but I know one thing - that it won't encourage the new citizens, who are trying to have some success in their business.
Keeping aside all these problems for a moment, we have a beatiful day 2272, I hope you succeded in your battles so far, I encourage you to make smart decisions in your business - don't think small - , help young citizens to grow, and let's not forget that elections are around the corner(for the Federalist Party Presidency) - but that's another story.

we can only work once a day,
i am sure you can hire more than one employee currently, not sure though,
if i filled all my open job positions it would be about 500, or 10% of the work force. if one player can hire 10% then there is a great demand for workers. and so wages stay really high.
people demand food and q7 weps, q6 food is the least work per energy, so you need q6 food wit h35 gold raws and q7 weps with 35 gold raws. eventually this will be the limit.
though if admins changed game mechanics so each quality of food can be taxed different then this would change, but then no one would build q6 food factories if taxes changed to support q1 food factories.
so because admins want money and they get money when one buys gold they will make sure you need to spend a lot of gold so you need to build the most expensive things, though i not sure what admins where thinking making q7 food cost twice the raws per energy!
taxes will not change anything, i myself who bought gold, and set up efficiently, will be able to be profitable at any tax rate. so all that will happen if taxes go up. wages go down, and i make money; you pay more taxes and still operate at a loss. unless you get medals and gold and can upgrade significantly!
