How to Make This Work [Czech Republic]

Day 820, 22:55 Published in Czech Republic New Zealand by Ozymandias Malifozik

Since the creation of Czechoslovakia is inevitable, whether the people like it or not, there are a few things that must be done to ensure stability and legitimacy within the new government.

1. The new Czechoslovakian government must recognize that the previous administration of the Czech Republic was legitimate, and not a PTO.

Political Takeover (coup) - When a highly organized group from a densely populated Country moves into a separate country and gains political power of said country by out numbering other citizens in an election. (Normally the General Election)

John Locked, his cabinet, and the Czech congress were all long time citizens of the Czech Republic elected to their positions by popular vote (or by the freely elected President in the case of the cabinet). According to Articles 5.1 and 10.3 of the Constitution of the Czech Republic, citizens may only serve as President if they have lived in the Czech Republic for no less than a period of 2 months. John Locked has been a long time Czech citizen, and as such his government does not meet the definition of a Political Take Over. The new government must realize that the disappearance of several hundred gold from the CNB does not mean that the entire government is illegitimate, in fact most likely the robbery is the responsibility of a few corrupt individuals.

In order to create a better Czechoslovakia, the government must work with both the falsely labeled "PTO" Czech Government and the current Slovak government.

2. Czechoslovakian funds need to go towards rebuilding the lost infrastructure of Northern Bohemia, Southern Bohemia, and Moravia that were wrongly taken. Its only fair that the new government make this a priority when purchasing infrastructure.

3. At the expense of the Polish and Czechoslovak governments, at least one political party for former Czech citizens needs to be created. The Congress and the Cabinet need to be shared with both Slovaks and Czechs, in order to represent both peoples.

4. English speakers and those who are not natives of the Czech Republic or Slovakia in real life must be equal and have the same rights as those who are of real life Czech or Slovak nationality. The term "real" Czechs needs to be disallowed, as it is possible for someone within this game of a real life foreign nationality to be just as much as a Czech as any real life Czech person.

English speakers should not be called pirates or PTO'ers, as they care about their country as much as, or possibly even more than, native Czechs.

The official languages of the new Czechoslovak nation should be Slovakian, Czech, and English. English should be embraced as a sort of international language, and shared. The most prominent language of the internet is English, so it should be made equal with Czech and Slovak. This is a game where people from around the world come together to do great things, and they should be able to speak in whatever language they wish.

Erepublik laws 1, 2, and 3 are:

All citizens are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
No citizen should oppress another citizen.
Freedom of press is absolute

These rights prohibit the oppression or discrimination against anyone speaking English or any other language. If I want to write my newspaper in English, Norwegian, or even Esperanto I have the freedom to do so. In order to prove my rights, I will not include a translated Czech version of this article.

I propose the creation of a new Czechoslovakian Constitution, along with a sort of "Bill of Rights" guaranteeing the equality of irl Czechs or Slovaks and irl non-Czechs or Slovaks.

6. I propose the creation of a new Panslavix alliance, which shall represent the interests of all small, Slavic and Eastern European countries, instead of the interests of Super-powers such as the USA or Poland. This alliance would theoretically be open to technically non-slav smaller nations, such as Austria or Hungary.

I would like to extend the olive branch of peace towards Slovakia, especially to milestailsprower, who has been very vocal against me. We can be great together, so let us drop our current disagreements and work together side-by-side for a better Czechoslovakia.

Long live Czechoslovakia!
Long live Panslavix!
Long live eRepublik!

-Ozymandias Malifozik

In order to strengthen Czech/Slovak bonds, I will be running for the Congress of the Czechoslovak state, assuming we are complete by the 25th. Expect a platform in the next few days.
