How To Fight: The new citizen's guide to not dying.

Day 1,176, 18:42 Published in Pakistan USA by johnpauljones

War is an integral part of eRepublik. At first, fighting in wars can feel like an overwhelming concept at first, but it doesn't have to be. Over the course of a few articles I as Minister of Defense aim to teach you what's on the battle screen, how battle mechanics work, and where to go for any resources you need to fight. Unfortunately one article pushes the limits of sanity and becomes tl;dr Also, thanks to Blank Keating for letting me use his format. They're the best tutorials out there.

Preparing For Battle

Before you fight, you should work and train. Fighting does direct damage to your health, and low health lowers your productivity for working, which sucks for our economy. It could also get you fired depending on the company manager. Training raises your strength, which is what decides how much damage/influence you do in a fight. Also, never fight unless you have a friend or a unit to supply you, or you can afford to heal back to 100. Try to end each day as close to 100 health as possible.

To get maximum damage/influence when fighting, you'll need a weapon. You can finance your weaponry yourself by buying it from the marketplace, but a better route is to join the military (Signup for the ePakistani Armed Forces today) and get free food and guns. If you can’t afford a weapon, and you are not in the military, you can fight on your own and do modest damage without a weapon.

The last thing you need is an appropriate battle to fight in. Most of the time Pakistan only has one or two battles to fight in, so it’s pretty self explanatory; however, there are some days where we would like your damage/influence in particular battles. PM me or find me on IRC to find out where your damage can help ePakistan the most.

oh, did I mention Join the ePAF?

I believe in the sun, even though it is slow in rising.
I believe in you, without realizing.
I believe in rain, though there are no clouds in the sky.
I believe in truth, even though people lie.
I believe in peace, though sometimes I am violent.
I believe in Dio Brando, even though he is silent.
