How to bring the ladies to the game

OK, let's talk about this. This game is chock-a-block with guys, but where are the ladies?
It's difficult to say how much they are, I assume they are less than 5% of a country's total population.
So, as the article title says, how could we bring some more ladies to Erepublik?
Before answering this question, we have to understand the reason why they are few.
What's this game about?
- War
- Politics
- Journalism
... let's take Sports in and we'll have a Four of a Kind.
Come on, how many girls interested in warfare do you know? OK, in politics they're growing, but aren't they still a minority? How many female newspaper directors are there? Some, but not great numbers yet.
Now the hellacious question is: what are women's interests?
Let''s try to joke a bit.
A guy would tell that many girls like:
- shopping
- boys
- gossip magazines
- soap-operas
- music
- jewels
- reading books
...
A girl, instead, would answer that no two girls are the same, whereas guys are often predictable.
But I'm sure that there is one special thing they all like to do.
They would spend all the time doing this, in my honest opinion.
Hey, come on readers, don't get naughty!
I'm talking about... TALKING.
Yes, ladies would talk for a whole day, if they could. Don't you agree?
So, going back over the opening question, what do we need to bring ladies to Erepublik?
Easier interaction among citizens, easier and more powerful instant messaging, we need a lively community where they can meet people and swamp them with words.
This way, once they're in, they could also get involved in politics, warfare and journalism.
And this is what we all wish, isn't it?

As long as erepublik stays text-based and doesn't turn into some sort of crappy terrible java game then I am in complete support of improving communication including implementing some sort of instant chat system.
I know when I used to play a lot of the social fun games (puzzle pirates, neopets) most or roughly half of the population is girls.

per un (singolo) articolo postato contro un eccesso (a mio avviso) nel gioco, Ho ricevuto epiteti non gratificanti da diverse persone.
Nel momento in cui questo gioco (almeno in Italia) diventerà meno polemico-incazzereccio e più "soft" (anche se alcuni amici già ci sono), di sicuro guadagnerebbe maggior attrattiva verso il grande pubblico, soprattutto femminile.
Se le ragazze devono venire qui per ricevere PM in cui ci si augura vengano stuprate, certo la voglia passa, no?
bhà swann. Han voluto la parità di diritti (giustamente imo. Ricordatevi Sophie Germain una con le palle cubiche as). Questo è un gioco che definiremmo "maschile", ma, siccome siamo con pari diritti (e dunque credo pari interessi) interesserà anche alle ragazze.
Poi non è estremamente nerd, come un mmo in tempo reale (leggi: wow merda). Se ti scoccia, al limite, puoi starci 1 oretta (2 click + qualche commento nelle news) e poi andare su siti che più ti aggradano. Insomma, la storia dei due click rende sto giochillo molto flessibile. Io ad esempio, mollati gli fps competitivi (che sono sempre il mio amore, ma non ho molto tempo per rosikare e stressarmi...spero di averlo quanto prima), gioco a Ghost recon in coop con mio fratello... divertimento assoluto.
Dai dai che va bene (PS: però implementare un forum privato ad inviti non sarebbe male, che magari si autoelimina dopo 30 giorni che non posta nessuno... sai quanti bei gruppi sulle amenità)

wow - as a girl, I find this article a bit offensive. I like sports. I like talking politics - a little, and I'm definitly interested in journalism. War, I can accept as a neccessesity. And, I wouldn't be all that interested in a chat function.

Ok sorry that was a discriminating joke. But I love them sometimes. I really think to discuss this we need female opinions. If girls just wanted to talk (in here write) they would get Journalist and spam us all of with the latest stuff about who knows what...
I think thats not it. First I don't think other Browsergames(like oGame) have a much higher number of girls playing it. So it is probably the whole medium that girls are not so much used to.
Secondly I think its good to watch at what Pierric Bross sai😛 Which games have a high rate of female players. Neopets... What are the elements of it: Peaceful raising of something, some creative parts where you can combine stuff to make it a little unike!
I think that would be a point: some lifestyle elements. Parts of my profile or property I can make different from the others. Make it more colorful (which not just relates to colors in that sense). Look at Sims I know a whole bunch of girls who play Sims(Copyrightbla), cheating and creating an awesome house and then "playing" just a short time in it afterwards. Its about creation I think.
As long as a house is just two numbers(Quantity and Quality) in this game, its not going to attract a lot of people. And by the way, although I don't have a great affinity to all this stuff, elemnts like these could really bring some more culture into this game (the creations of people from india might look totaly different from those of the US for example)
