How screwed are we?
nick jones
Very.
To put it simply our president has made a grave error and it will cost us our country.
Thanks Rex like we really needed this.
For the record i voted the no to the NE because i felt NEing a hostile country is stupid and attacking home regions is even dumber.
time for us to get wiped again...

Very screwed but the blame doesn't lie all with Rex.
Who has the power t click the attack button?
Oh I just love how everybody's innercent now and pointing fingers
I love puppies.
Noone is above blame Leewas. But it is amazing how the people (congress) follow blindly.
Oh gee, thanks for the advice NOW, Chucker. Sure does us good in our current state.
I think your government must talk to Brazil government.
Its about time that our country must do a fair and nice agreement.
I think we can do some agreement since South Africa stop being ONE's puppet and come back to your real allies (eUSA, eAustralia).
I think we brazilians prefer to attack Spain than South Africa, attacking Spain is much better, since it can keep some of ONE's big power busy against us, plus Spain is a joke and we like to attack them cos its fun and they are trololol.
We are attacking South Africa just for revenge, of course also for some valuable regions, but i think we could make a rental agrement (a fair one, not like last agreement).
I dont want you guys to hate us anymore, we are nice people, and have a lot in common. (:
Please i ask the government of South Africa to pick a side and stop the nosense game.
If you're really sure that you're with ONE, then i'm sorry.
I think there's still time to talk, but must come from you.
@ Marco & Sennome, I think all our rental agreements have been fair. In Fact none have them have been unreasonable. I don't think anyone wanted it to turn out this way.
where can we all (eSouth Africa) learn to speak "brazilian" and learn the SAMBA.
🙂
Yes maybe going NE was stupid on our side. (being like to small etc) but this is a WAR game after all. This is how we learn as well. Rex decided ... but he could have done that acting on some bad advice and previous issues from Brazil?
I am only playing for a month or so .. so I dont know much of the past wars.
But to blame it all on REX ... sounds like a easy way out.
It is easy to point fingers after the fact. Rex made a call and it backfired and this could have happened to anyone. If we end up in trouble then we will do as we always have and get things back on track as and when we can. South Africa needs positive support and infighting is not the way to deal with this. If you have a problem why not go speak to him yourself.
Montaigne's article in the Hungarian press:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/kis-n-eacute-p-nagy-b-aacute-tors-aacute-ga-a-small-nation-039-s-act-of-bravery-1758273/1/20#comments
I for one ... does not have a problem with him or anyone else. I do trust the decision was not his own choice.
We as a country supported the wrong cause. (in retrospect) but at the time it seemed like the right thing to do. Given previous history with wars started by Brazil. and times that promises was made and not kept.
Now I think we all are sorry for the outcome. But there has been votes to support the war.
I feel the resitance wars was neccesarry as we fought that on our own land. The homeland attacks on Brazil was pretty stupid ... if you take into account how strong Brazil is ... and their location.
Going NE was also way to impuslive and not very well thought through.
Viva la resitance. Viva!
@Semnome: Why will Brazil only talk when we threaten them? Look into you heart my friend and find the reason. South Africa has always been open to negotiation. We know we're smaller. We know there is bad blood. We know you have the advantage. WE are prepared to try, again, and again, and again. All we want is a fair deal with Brazil so that our community can survive and grow. No bullying. No disdain for us. No power-brokering. Ask any of our allies - South Africa are great friends.
I pushed the button on the NE.
My experience with Brazil is that they only hear when they are forced to feel pain. For months now they have been using our regions unprepared to give anything in return. I will be the first to support a deal when Brazil chooses to deal with us as friends instead of treating us as if we are idiots. Until you choose to be good neighbours, I will do everything in my power to keep you on the back-foot for the security of South Africa.

And who else then Nick Jones to start pointing fingers afterwards.
Shit happends, it's easy to point fingers after the fact.
Instead of pointing fingers who is to blame we should just work together to fix the situation
We should work with Brazil to try for peace. We are too small and too in expeirenced to be a real threat to them. I never fought on their land ... only tried to free our territories from the "evil oppressors"
🙂
Not that that did any good ... lol
"Instead of pointing fingers who is to blame we should just work together to fix the situation "
I am active in the Hungarian press. Call help.
I cannot fight today, a exhausted all of my wellness in the battlefield.
@Miyagiyoda: threatened, by SA? SA just show their true face and once again try to f with us while we are fragile 🙂 I still remember south africans trying to give excuses not to rent regions, in the past V1 was because Gauteng was best region for a BB, on v3, now, WC is the best regions for a BB and maybe free-state, maybe EC and etc...
nopes SA didnt threat us, you woke us up. Semnome is a pacifist, I am not, my name is surely known around, I was the first president to step inside africa, for Brazil, I supported a deal in order t oavoid headache, but yesterday when RexDeus told me on IRC that you attacked Br in order to help ur alliance(thinking i was spanish player i guess), is more then clear that SA is puppet of ONE.
Down with eSA, if you are not out friend, you are our enemy.
What are u thinking about declaring NE ? ''jokeee surpriseee '', i cant believe. Why this law was accepted?
Is there an "UNDO" button?
We stand united behind our government.
@ Fiquei, same rule applies, well done Rex, eBrazil wants to play puppet master themselves so don't kid yourself Jazar
We stand united behind our government. x2
eBrazil, your time is ticking.
We are here to help our allies, those allies, who stand strong against a greater enemy and there is nothing more respective in this game than this!
Maybe eHungary TO'd eSA not so long ago, but that does not mean we don't respect them.
Lots of eHungarian coming into eSA well armed to help.
You will be pushed back from SA, Poland continue to attack your territories, and you will learn what does "being occupied" means.
By any means necessary!
Nick? What the hell? How can you blame Rex for this?
szuvurov:
poland said our time was ticking we are still w8ting the might polish power 😛
also u respect SA? u TOer them made racist jokes about them and humiliating new citizens msgs and "official" news from the "metropole".
hungary time is ticking 🙂
Ah Fiquei Duro, now the true colors of the hyena are showing. Jazar has always been licking his lips for eSA, not just that, he is slobbering after us. But the best of all is, we were warned not to trust eBR by one of your own people. By his own words, eBR will never make peace with eSA as long as Jazar is somewhere in the vicinity, am I right Fiquei?
It is easy to run ones mouth if your opponent is smaller, I dare not say weaker,but then again eBrazil cowers behind its many allies...
Jazar gets hard thinking about our goats 😃
@Jazar - Whats wrong, don't like the little guy poking sticks at the big bad wolf? You so proud of being the first oppressor, shame - poor man, because the Croats and the Indos were here first.
@Nick Jones, I am proud to be part of a South Africa that does not sit by and take it up the arse. I am sick of deals, and counter deals, of promises, and plans for future relations with Brazil that never come to pass. I am proud to be a South African, even if that means I will loose my country for it. Let the rest of the world look upon our small nation and say: "Those people have balls".
Well said Mark well Said!!
Now where did I put my stick? I want to poke some more...
@Mark
At the risk of sounding unpatriotic, I care a bit more about the survival of our nation than our pride.
@Jason
If you check the second page of the 'How We Came To Attack Brazil' thread on the forums, Rex specifically states that the NE law was a mistake.
@Twilight - So do I care about keeping our country, but a major part of this game is made up of war, and we have taken on Brazil and Indonesia simultaneously before and won. A big aspect of winning for us is allied support (if not the only aspect) and it is always a calculated risk, and I am glad we took it
@Grimstone
"I think all our rental agreements have been fair. In Fact none have them have been unreasonable. I don't think anyone wanted it to turn out this way."
You might be joking, please tell me that you are.
Our last 'agreement' was a big failure, Brazil would get nothing from that, i bet you guys laughed at our 'dealers' face after we signed that agrement.
@Miyagiyoda
"Why will Brazil only talk when we threaten them? Look into you heart my friend and find the reason. South Africa has always been open to negotiation."
We are not being threatened right now, you are being erased and i'm here trying to open some closed eyes that we could act better as friends than enemies.
@Mark Morcom
"A big aspect of winning for us is allied support (if not the only aspect) and it is always a calculated risk, and I am glad we took it "
Maybe when you HAD allies that were your friends, eUSA and eAustralia.
Do you call your current 'allies' of friends?
What did they do to eSA? they just used eSA, and when they saw it didnt work they went back to their main battles.
If you call your current allies of 'friends', then seriously, eSA deserves to be erased and dont appear on the map again until you learn to distinct what is a friend and what is an ally.
I agree with chucker we have seen nothing and its disturbing if we are so prideful then lets get fired up not just take it guys. its as if no one actually wants to hold anybody accountable and that its wrong to cast blame where it is deserved.
I have a simpaty for eSA, but you cannot act like our enemy's pupets. This happened to Bolivia and Peru in the past, it's repeating with SA, our enemys only ally to Brazil's neighboars to atack us, they don't care about you, they wont spend gold to keep your territories.
you have to protect yourselfs and gain Brazil's trust, but that takes time, a hole year wasn't enought to Peru, we were in doubt if we should trust them and they atacked us.
I actualy supported the deal to avoid this but now noone has any reason not to wipe SA, it's sad, but true
I miss when South Africa was allied to the United States. It is a real shame that after months upon months of sending undying support for Africa that South Africa would turn pro-one. I would still like to see South Africa on our side, but not if they still think ONE is a better choice than their true friends: Australia and USA.
I hope my government will stick to it's guns now.
Attacking Brazil may have been overconfident but we are within our rights here. Brazil has occupied our country for far too long.
There can be no peace with the usurper. The main reason we fell out with the US is Brazil.
Dignity First, Dignity Forever!
@Jazar
"SA just show their true face"
Brazil just show their two-face again and again
As I've told to many and many americans, we didn't leave them, They forgot us when Brazil was their new best friend. They sacrificed us in favour of the Brazilians. How can they still say that it's our fault is a mystery to me.
I for one fully support what the president did, although I didn't vote for him at first. I like Brazil, but their actions are far from just or honorable. "Antes morir de pie que vivir de rodillas".
Rex made exactly the right desicion! I am tired of having brazilian *beeps* up my *beep* trying to keep a smile on my face while tears are running down my cheek. If I am gonna have a *beep* anywhere it is gonna be a Esouthafrican *Beep*!!!
Cheer up folks, it is now that the good times begin and we do what we always have done best. WE GO GUERILLA ON THEIR *BEEPS*
Dignity First, Dignity Forever!
