How's Obama Doing Now?

Well, it is finally happening. Obama's cult of personality has lost it's grip on the American people. His approval rating today dropped below 50 percent for the first time, and is showing signs of going far lower through April. I, being from Michigan, am not particularly fond of Mr. Obama, and as it turns out, neither are the majority of Americans anymore. Especially from a Michigander's perspective, the President's willingness to bail out wall street with no requirements, while he villanizes the auto industry-which is failing as a result of the government's actions-is absolutely infuriating. He is helping the wrong people in this mess, and Americans are finally waking up and smelling the coffee!
Pat yourself on the back American's! Now that you see past the Obama-Jesus image that many of us bought into during the campaign, we will really be able to fix our nations problems!
Just thought that I'd throw that thought out there.

Sigh, I promised myself I wouldn't get involved in RL political debate but you are so far off the mark it is amazing.
Right now President Obama has an approval rate of ~65%.
The auto industry is in trouble because Big Three management fought implementing increased CAFE standards and instead built SUVs. The auto industires plight is not the result of governemnt action but rather miserable management.
The TARP funds were initially provided to the finnacial sector during the Bush administration. We still don't know where all the TARP funds released by Paulson & co ended up.
I could go on but I somehow think I'm not going to get through. BTW Obamam has taken more heat in 2 months from the so called "liberal Media" than W did in 8 years. The only zombies prowling around are rigth wingers who are agast at the thought of investement in universal health care, green jobs & education.

no president gives 100 percent of what he promises in a campaign no president what so ever
i didnt vote for him but since he won he is our president and i always back our president but i think he shouldnt just hand out the money look back in time fdr didnt hand the money out during the great depression he made jobs that built bridges and roads and anything that needed built obama should take a page from that instead of just giving stuff away

As it turns out NXNW, if you would refer to the Gallup Poll, Obama's approval has taken a major slide over the past week. The big three build SUV's instead of fuel-efficient cars because that is what sold the most in their market. Although this was a short term mindset, it was good business for what economic experts were projecting at the time. Then, when it actually came time for the auto makers to change their fuel and emission standards, the government gave them far to little time to re-tool their plants in order to implement the new standards effectively, crippling their sales capabilities.
And by the way, I am all for putting money into green jobs and education; we need them. But universal health care has utterly failed in every single instance in which it was implemented, even to the slightest degree. So you tell me what we should do on that one.

All you complaining about the RL, why don't you quit complaining about that and complain about how this guy is holding a gun to your head. Oh...wait, he doesn't have a gun to your head, does he? So maybe you shouldn't complain about articles you don't like the subject on? Makes sense? And you can't even complain you didn't know, because the title, that has the word "Obama" in it, that's not a big name in eRepublik, is it? So obviously, he was talking about the RL Big Cheese.

Obama has a 65% approval rating, true down from 67% the week before but not a major slide.
