How Awesome is Finland? [USA]

First, Finland is probably one of the coolest countries on the face of this planet… the home of Nokia, reindeer meat, beautiful women and some of the world’s best winter sports athletes. Congrats in the Olympics btw.


If you haven't had reindeer meat before, go to Finland and eat some. Zomg, it is so good.


Now, I’m sure everyone is wondering what is going on here, but what most people don’t understand is that Finland is home to some of the world’s best warriors known to mankind. Now, normally 5 MPPs versus 21 MPPs is insane, but the last time this happened, the Finns succeeded.

There are stories from Finland where a single battalion of Finns turned back a Russian infantry regiment that was supported with armor and artillery. In Finnish Lapland, the Finns fought back when outnumbered 10:1 and kept the Russians in Russia for the remaining three months of the war.




Other instances such as the famous “Killer Hill” in Kollaa on the Karelian Isthmus, where 32 Finns pushed back 4,000 Russian soldiers, outnumbered 125:1. This is also where the legendary Simo Häyhä fought. Simo Häyhä was credited with +500 confirmed sniper kills within a 3 month period. He was nicknamed “The White Death” for his ability to strike fear in the Russians while sniping in his snow camo. And against all odds, Kollaa remained in Finnish hands all the way until the peace treaty was signed.

Finally, the best part is the death toll that Khrushchev said was a result of the Winter War. Khrushchev told Time magazine that the Soviet Union lost over 1,000,000 soldiers in the 5 month war with Finland.


Now, the history lesson is over… and I’ll state my point. Finland is beast and I’m damn proud to fight beside them any day of the week.
