They are perhaps the most stunning, smart and intelligent women in E-uk history, Piperbunny and Frufru, and if you don't know them, you're not with it. If you go down the streets, you will hear their names. If you look in the newspapers, you'll see their faces. If you ever happen to meet them, you'll see a crowd of admirers vying for their attention.

With this in mind, I decided to brave the crowds and invite them for an interview. As they walk arm in arm merrily, chatting about their next plan to dominate the E-UK, I feel my heart do a slight somersault. Stuttering, I can nothing more than smile and point shakily at the chair before collapsing myself. Taking a few deep breaths, I begin my interview...

1.Well done on winning your elections as mayor. What made you choose to run for mayor originally?
PB: Thanks. Originally it was something else to do. I ran against Shadow under the TRP and lost by around 10 votes to him. The next time was with the PCP and I worked harder and got it. I was so happy.
FF: I remember what it was like when I first joined e-rep and I didn’t have a clue where to find anything or who to ask for help. I think it took me about 2 weeks to find the e-uk forum…

So I think the job of a mayor is a very important one ~ to try and ensure people feel welcome, get involved and get active. It’s also important to try to get everybody’s wellness up high as the higher their wellness the more productive they are and the stronger the e-uk defences…..

So although it may not be a high status job or one that gets your name in lights I think it is a crucial role in e-uk….

And that’s why I get so mad at people who
stand for election and then do bugger all….

And equally mad at the sheep that elect them!

As frufru says this I notice her face starting to get redder, eyes budging out. I decide it would be tactful to change the subject.

2. The PCP is a large and fast-growing party, but what made you choose to join the party in the first place?
PB: With the decline of TRP and realising that my Real Life beliefs are more left wing than right wing I decided to join a right wing party. I didn't want to join the UKRP, everyone did that lol. TUP was with people I didn't really know at the time and the PCP were nice and friendly and welcomed me with open arms. The forum is really nice and open and everyone has their own say. I know going from centre-right to far-left is a bit drastic, but the PCP aren't an "extreme" party, we're just for the people by the people, and I like that analogy.
FF: I first joined TRP as I thought the party’s name was a play on words. When I discovered that ‘right’ meant right-wing then I felt a right plonker. In RL I’m a socialist…. So I chose my next party more carefully and read all the manifestos.

I believe very strongly in the principles of PCP ~ that the e-uk is only as strong as our weakest citizen, that good team work is better than a one person dominated party, that everybody has a part to play and should be listened to…

So, both former TRP members. Interesting...

3. What would you say to people who are put off joining the PCP because of it being communist?
PB: I would say fair play to you because I did the same when I joined Erepublik. When I first joined I ruled out the PCP originally because of the word "communist" but look where I ended up. We're good people, just working hard to make people's e-lives better.
FF: Well I must admit that at first I didn’t look at the PCP manifesto because I assumed the party would be full of posers in Che Guevarra t-shirts. When I saw what they really wore to party meetings I laughed my socks off.

Socks aren't the only things I'd like off

And when I read the manifesto I saw that it was very well thought out and that it was a party with principles and with practical ideas on how to put those principles into action.

I would say to anyone that they should read all the party mainfestos before they make up their minds and not just make assumptions because of a name or a symbol..

I suddenly had a vivid imagining of both of them wearing a Che Guevarra t-shirt, and then them not. I took a sip of my water before continuing...

4. What plans do you have for your future political career?
PB: I think I'll run for mayor again and try for a third mandate in July but then I'll finish and let someone else try. I don't want to hog the position lol. Then in August I'll hopefully have enough money to run a company, I'd love to have a go at doing something completely different. I don't think I'll ever be President or anything that high up, I'm happiest just helping people.
FF: None. I just like doing what I’m doing. I’m not personally ambitious. But I would love to see Kia Sneak as president and PCP get the majority in congress. The PCP deserves the chance to show what it can do…

5. You are one of only a very few active female E-UK politicians out there. How has that affected what you do?
PB: LOL, I don't think it does affect what I do? Am I different because I'm female? Maybe I radiate a more motherly aura? I've no idea. I guess I'm more emotional? I do like seeing more females taking a stand though. We have many strong females in Erepublik, and more are joining every day.

She's definitely affecting my emotions

FF: I don’t think it has.. I’m just me.. bossy, stroppy.... Though it’s hard work doing the political stuff and running my newspaper and looking after Meadow and Widdows, my 2 e-adoptive sons….they can be such a handful.

Frufru has sons? Does that mean she's married? Whoops...

6. How would you recommend stepping on that road to becoming a successful politician such as yourself?
PB: Be active. Care about what you do. Firstly, you have to prove yourself to your party leader, and when they're confident of your abilities they will help guide you onwards. I have been very lucky, Brodie was an awesome TRP leader back in the old days and KIA believes in me too. But don't do too much. I can just about handle being Mayor of London and PCPVP, anymore and I would never get off my laptop
6.FF: I don’t think of myself as a successful politician….. I’m not devious enough…

But follow my 3 rules in the next question and you could become a great and good politician!

I realised I wasn't paying attention after the words lap and top, staring at the said positions of both ladies.

7. What are the 3 most important things in being a politician?
PB: Communication, belief, activeness
FF: I think a good politician is one who….

Has principles not just a desire for power for its own sake
Commands respect through a balance of listening and decisiveness
Keeps his (or her) promises

I decide I can't hold it in anymore, and decide to ask the one question I'd been dying to ask all night.

8. Finally, how about dinner? Just you and me?
PB: Hehe... I would love to, but I'm sort of promised to another
FF😕ove to *sigh* …..but I’m a single e-mum of 2 young e-boys….. Who’s gonna pay for the babysitter for Meadow and Widdows?

Well, I can take a hint when I need to. So much for my love life.

I thank them sincerely, all smiles, and they put on their jackets and leave. I wait until they leave the building before I run to the security room and take out the tape. As I start watching the entire interview over and over again, watching their mouths move, their little habits, the way their hair flicks over their shoulders, I wonder if this is love. And if I'm turning into a stalker.
