The United Kingdom Proposed Honours Bill

1. Purpose:
To acknowledge those members of the UK community who have contributed to the United Kingdom over an extended period of time or above and beyond the call of duty and to establish a committee to oversee the awarding of such Honours as they deem fit.

NB: for the purposes of this Act, any UK citizen is a person who has contributed to the UK society for a period of several months at a time, typically 3 months, and can still be considered a true member of the UK community.

2. Honours Committee:
2.1. The Committee is to be made up of 5 individuals each being a representative of one of the top 5 Political parties in the United Kingdom and chosen by the Party President on the 16th of every month.
2.2. Nominations for Honours will open on the 17th of every month and each committee member has the ability to nominate no more than two individuals to receive an Honour.
2.3. Nominations shall close on the 25th of every month and the committee shall debate those nominated and select up to two people to receive an Honour, or none if they so determine. This decision must be made by the 3rd of the next month by a simple vote.
2.4. If one of the committee is nominated for an Honour, they may not vote on their honour and a simple majority is needed.

3. Country President:
3.1. The CP may nominate one eUK citizen to gain an Honour and may also nominate one foreign citizen to receive a ‘Friend of the British Empire’ Honour that recognises their commitment to the UK.
3.2. These nominations will be voted on by the Honours Committee and the CP informed of their decision. If they do not accept the UK candidate then the CP may propose one more person, but only one FBE proposal may be made.

4. Honours:
4.1. The Order of the electronic British Empire shall contain the following ranks:
Member of the British Empire
Officer of the British Empire
Commander of the British Empire
Knight-Commander of the British Empire conferring the title of Knight to the recipient
and Friend of the British Empire for Foreign Citizens
4.2. You may only receive the Honour above each time, ie: you may not immediately receive an OBE if you do not have an MBE
4.3. The passing of this Act shall recognise all previous Honours granted.

5. Guidelines for those who deserve Honouring:
5.1. The proposed recipient should be a trusted eUK citizen or stalwart member of the community who has poured time and effort into progressing the UK.
5.2. They should be a person who has done a lot of good and valuable work in the UK working with new players, finances, pushing us forward internationally and domestically and militarily.

6. Stripping Honours:
6.1. Any member of the committee, if they feel that a member of the community who has received an Honour no longer deserves this honour may propose to the committee that they have this Honour stripped. Reasons for this belief should include any of the following: cheating, dishonouring the UK, treachery, stealing from the country and recklessly endangering the community in a shameful matter.
6.2. This vote requires a simple majority in order to be passed, and the current Country President also receives a vote, unless one of them is the person in question in which case they may not vote.
