Who woke up and got active

I began eLife on March 3 2010. After hitting all the first day buttons, I opened up the media and read the useful articles, and quickly learned how to avoid the Feenicks troll articles. It was through this that I learned about the coming presidential elections. I would, unfortunately, not be able to participate in these elections, but I learned a lot about how the mechanics of the politics module worked. After I reached level 8, the first thing I did with my 5 gold from turning level 6 was open a newspaper. The results can be seen here.

Shortly after publishing that article, I received a recruitment PM from the Eagles Militia. I joined, and spent the next few months training, fighting, and learning what I could about the Military module. It is with great confidence that I say that without the Eagles militia, I would not be playing today. For some reason, #eUS always seemed dead when I checked in, and, as a result, I didn’t spend much time on it until the second attempt on Lion King. That was the first battle I was truly active in. I quit my job, and quickly moved to China, where, using Q5 guns for the first time, I laid down ~1000 damage against Serbia. I sat there, wading through a sea of headless chickens, as I rushed to buy more guns after reset to fight some more. We eventually were defeated, but I got a taste of what active play looked like. I mostly 2 clicked until v2 launch.

After v2 launched, I participated in the defense of Washington. This taught me about the coordination required by v2, as evidenced by these IRC logs:

[16:26] |ArcNox| Oh well, have some Q5 lead you russian bastards

Looking for a more active militia, I chose to fight for SEES. Love em or hate em, they make the game much more interesting. #SEES was where I really got involved in IRC, and began to get involved with the party, helping out with ATO efforts, and ran as a blocker. I worked my way up in the Super Soldiers as well, and learned as much as I could about the military module from Max Wallingbottom III. As a testament to his patience, he carefully corrected my flawed view of the mechanics of the new mil module. Together we learned what we could from our enemy’s tactics, and worked to implement improved versions of them. I slowly gained his trust, until he promoted me to Quartermaster General of the SEES Super Soldier militia.

As my commander Max Wallingbottom III can attest, I learn quickly when faced with a new task. To this end, I have decided to run for Kongress in the great state of Colorado, in order to increase my involvement, and expand my experience with THE GAME.

ArcNox can into Colorado

I have no prior experience in Kongress and very little prior experience with the economy or foreign relations, so why vote for me you ask? Because eventually, the old leadership will leave the game, and it is up to new players such as myself to step up and learn what we can, so when the existing leadership does leave, we can step in and keep America GREAT.

Remember to vote for ArcNox in Colorado on the 25th!
