With the election underway, it's quite obvious that the APP is not one party right now but two.
There is a segment of the party involved in a takeover last month. They have long-standing entrenched relationships and discuss nothing in public. It's like a secret cabal.
As a reminder, my platform is this:
1) I want the APP to be a respectable party again and not a trashed one, subservient to an entrenched group of players as it is right now.
2) If I am elected, I will work as I said in my last post on some very clear objectives. I want the APP to discuss relevant issues. I want a party that focuses on working for the good of the country outside of political office. Since a respectable party does have to choose senators, we will do so, but with an emphasis on new players.
3) I want to bring back a degree of FUN, since this is a game. You remember what fun is like I hope? How is it fun when a small cabal of entrenched players keep things locked up?
This is about being respectable as a country.
It's about working for the good of all eAustralia, not just certain entrenched players.
It's about saving a top 5 party, which probably won't be top 5 for long if things don't change.

Mate you couldn't have called this more wrong if you tried. Everywhere you open your mouth there's Reds under the bed, spies in Little Havana - whatever your flavour of the day is. You need to know the history. By the time you rocked up I was reaching the end of my e-political life. I've done everything I could and I hope you have the same opportunity instead of decrying how bad your opponents are. I'm not into the war thing .. so I lulz around a lot.
We agree that politics needs to be jazzed up in eRep. Where we differ is instead of elevating it to a pot full of energy, you have bastardised it into like what the TEA Party have done in the RL US. They've turned a place of rigorous debate into a mental asylum (and I say this from the equivalent of a registered Republican). You've done the e-equivalent of what those nut jobs do - from leaking report cards of congress member's kids to the press and stealing medical reports from doctor's surgeries where a Senator's spouse may have been seeking treatment for depression. Not that you have done any of these things physically, but the sentiment in electronic format is largely the same.
You accuse me and others of being 'unpatriotic' yet we've held citizenship, regardless of change at one point or the other, collectively longer. Even when changes occurred, we still sought positive change for eAustralia.
You may not have been the drug dealer, but it sure as heck been the car that's driven the dealer around in.

So maybe you can identify then where I said people were doing that. My main contention is that secret behind-the-scenes dealings led to a party that has not direction. I offered an alternate one. But now that you mention it, cronies keeping each other in power is kind of petty, especially with no results to show for it.
