Hello eCanada
Arrlo
Of all the enemies of the eUK, eCanada has arguably the most legitimate reasons to hate us. We all know the history of our two countries’ bilateral relations, with the eUK’s flagitious behaviour leading to the invasion, occupation and eventual erasure of eCanada from erepublik. I don’t bring this up to open old wounds, nor to wallow in my e-country’s abject past, but rather to acknowledge eCanadians’ right to feel aggrieved, and to try to move forward.
Anecdotally, the first battle I ever fought in was the resistance war in eAlberta. My military career in erepublik thus began during the nadir of eBritish-eCanadian relations, and, had I known then what I now know, I can tell you I would have unflinchingly fought red. Accept this as my sincere apology for the damage I dealt out by fighting green to keep eCanada occupied.
That is the past. The ugly, miserable, shameless past.
So what is the point of all this? My ultimate goal is to see gradual, genuine and lasting rapprochement between eCanada and eUK. Since the eUK inexplicably decided to put itself in the bloc fighting against our cherished RL Canadian allies, realistically, the lines are quite clearly drawn, and very few people on either side will budge. So, for the foreseeable future, I will settle for a friendly rivalry. Enemies who respect one another, who, when they meet each other on the battlefield, be it in the eGreek-eTurkish War or in any new wars which develop, act with honour and dignity. I do not and will not relish the thought of fighting eCanadians, but such is the situation in erepublik today. Never forget that:

Civility and respect should always be given no matter the battles fought or the past. You present both here, and at least to me, that is appreciated.
Hear, hear!
Surely the future of our great nations lies together and not opposed. Let us take the advantage of the "new start" of V2 to leave the past behind, and build a future together.
Flagitious a. Deeply criminal; utterly villainous. A quite well chosen word, my dear Baroness!
Why havn't I read this until now? 🙁
