Hello and Goodbye

Day 1,020, 15:22 Published in Singapore Philippines by iLord Solomon

Sup guys. iLord here, with my last article as president. I'd like to congratulate in advance whoever wins the election today. Last I checked, Teh You Jing led 43-21.

The HELLO is to our new neighbors to the north, Serbia. Not Serbian controlled Malaysia, but Serbia proper. The whole Serb-India-Indonesia land swaps left Serbia in firm control of Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak. What this means for future Singapore politics, I don't know, but I figured my devoted readers would like to know what had just happened.

The GOODBYE is to all of you. In about 9 hours, my term will finish. It's been a pretty bumpless ride, which is both a good and a bad thing. This month got off to a rocky start, with the experienced Tommy Aquinas leaving us. The joint ATO of Malaysia failed, leaving us in a precarious position, sandwiched as we were. However, we remain an independent nation in control of all our dio-given territory, and for this I am grateful. The PTO attempted on our Congress let two likely PTOers in, though they have not attempted to rob the treasury, and have only given citizenship to two total people. My hunch is that they are not malicious, rather, medal hunters, of which we too have our fair share (as we saw recently cough cough). The economy has stabilized, every citizen who wants has a job, and our military has been reborn, a huge step up from where it was when I entered. Our country is about 50 gold richer than it was last month. Despite all the naysaying, Chewchewshoe has been an effective VP to me, executing his duty flawlessly. In addition to this tangible successes, we also have seen another ray of hope this month, which TYJ and Arbryn reentering the fray of eSingaporean politics. These two have been around longer than I have, and it's wonderful to have them back.

As for what becomes of me now, I am unsure. Perhaps I will stay here, maybe run for Congress in three weeks, or perhaps I will move abroad, fighting in wars, making friends, and helping eSG's interests in either an official or an unofficial capacity. I may request a cabinet position, likely Minister of Finance, if the next administration will have me. Whatever may come, will come.

Majulah Singapura!
