Happy Mother's Day
DerBrad
Its Mothers Day in Ireland today. Shame on you, if you've forgotten!
Here in eRepublik, I think we should all take a minute or two to remember our eRepublik Mom (eRM), that is if we were born into this world from another Citizen. eRM's don't just invite friends to the world of eRepublik, they nurture their new-borns and help them to grow into strong self-sufficient citizens. I will always be in debt to my own eRM.
In Februaury 2010, I was spending some time with my family when my eRM turned to me and asked if I had brought my laptop with me for the weekend. I explained that I had, but that there was no wi-fi at home and therefore no internet connection.
My eRM was distressed at hearing this news, it was 10pm. "I need to work before 8am", my eRM said. "Its the weekend" I said, "what are you on about?"
It was then that I first heard about eRepublik. It sounded interesting at the time but what I experienced next confirmed to me that this new world was something special indeed.
You see, my home is "in the sticks", a long way from Internet Cafe's and cafe's in general! So at 6am my eRM drove to Cork Airport with my laptop in order to work, train and fight for the Irish Army. "Are you crazy?" I said at breakfast, "Should I be worried?"
When I returned to my home, I just had to check it out and it was on Feb 14th 2010, that I was born into this world. Thanks JK! I havent looked back since.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

My eBaby! I remember it well. President Edana Savage was going to launch an attack on Northern Ireland and I wanted to be online to fight either side of server re-set. As it happened, the Norwegians were busy kicking the Brits and ceded NI to us and the battle was over by the time I got to Cork Airport to log on. And yes, still crazy after all these years. Thanks little bro.
\o/ Happy Mothers Day Plato!!!
