Goodbye Erepublik

The thought of me throwing spanners in the party and in the government's works just because of my own inactivity sickens me to the bone, and the fact that I have not even had time to explain things doesn’t make anything better.

DNS
In my last party election I wrote a very inspiring manifesto. I meant every word in it. However, I had more time then and why I stood for the election of party president again I guess was my naïve heart. I thought I could set things right, but I was wrong and I can see that now. I can’t set things right, and that’s why I resign as party president for DNS.
I still hope that what I did during my mandate wasn’t all in vain. I cleaned up a lot and I planted a seed to a new policy and to a new party that I hope will reach the potential height that I know only DNS and its members can achieve.
I will still remain as a member in the party nothing more. I will not stand for congress election, I’ll just be in the way for more active and vigorous members.

Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)
I will also resign as Minister of Foreign Affairs. My old friend, and vice MoFA Arkham left the game and since I haven’t found a suitable replacement the post is all open. Whether the situation will be solved with voluntary candidacy and election (like last time) or via appointment, is up to president Flammbar to decide.

Hypogeum and The Swedish Nobel Prize
My activity within Hypogeum is also dwindling and so is everyone else’s, so we have all decided to bury our old Sunday coffee club once we have finished this last edition of The Swedish Nobel Price which will be held on Saturday this week. The Grand Nobel Banquette will be held on Sunday.
Since this is the last prize we’re handing out I’ll give away all my money including the very generous donation from Cristesco to aid our noble cause. The prize sum each laureate will receive totals at 17.5 GOLD, 101.9 SEK and 10.6 DKR. Don’t miss that! And don’t miss the banquette (more info on that in the article we’ll publish on Saturday). I’ll make my last appearance there so for all of you who won’t be there, this is the last good bye from me.

This game has changed me somewhat, for the better. Erepublik is a game where you can try your ideals and morals, not proving other’s wrong, and that’s what I did. I have learned to get along with people of different standing other than my own, that the one next to me has just as much right to their thoughts and feelings as I have to my own. Never forget that.
I’d like to thank a lot of people, many of them have already quit Erepublik. But there are some few ones out there, and they are all the guys at Hypogeum: Mombassa, Bartulomeus Knall, Mikaleanus Bang, Algaroth, Otto Antid, BotherMe and Leon Pong. I’d also like to dedicate some thanks to all my friends outside the club: DKN, Grev Per, Skinke, Ziggyzag, Meiko, Emerick, Zhuge Liang, Flammbar, Cinc, pho3nix, Hador, Trisen, Gustavius, Sasha Igorovich, Misho and Carradine.

Now that my time here has come to an end, I realize something: That nothing good lasts forever. Erepublik has been an exciting journey and at the end of it I found the most valuable treasure life has to offer... Friends. And friends teach you the most valuable lesson life has to offer... To be kind to one another, be we young or old, rich or poor, strong or weak, because some day in our life we will have been all of these.
