Goodbye eCanada, Goodbye eRepublik

Day 1,035, 00:03 Published in Canada Canada by Ace_Blazer

Friends, countrymen (and women). It's been a good full year run since Sept.13, 2009 when I found eRepublik on a Total War series forum, but my time and will to play is gone. Just before the change to V2 I was a Lieutenant in the CAF, 2LT in the US Army (Army Group West) in the US/Canada Army exchange, Minister of Education, and proud owner of Local Heroes Q3 food; around that time I think I burned out. I tried to hand in my resignation and go to 2-clicker status while learning about V2, but they went and promoted me to Brigadier General of the Artillery. 😠

Unfortunately that responsibility wasn't enough to keep me in the game. I've stayed around long enough to see the artillery platoons through to V2, but now my interest in eRepublik is done as I haven't really been paying attention for the past month while I prepare for my last year in uni. I hear there's a scandal of some sort? 😛

Here's a list of shout outs.

Leckan aka Alecian, the Swedish guy who got me into eRepublik by posting a topic in the TW forum. When I was an Ambassador to Sweden, he was the best MoFA I could ever hope to have.
Armour144 was also on the TW forums and helped me extensively in eCanada when I was starting.

The One and Only Canadian Armed Forces which has been the only thing keeping me in the game when I probably would have quite half a year ago. I enjoyed responsibility, good comrades, and amazing battlefield moments.
1st "Eagle Eye Platoon" Roll Call:
Crisfire, holy crap you've gotten far in this game. Crisfire came from the same Total War forum I was recruited in, and he's a damn good fellow. Hope you come around and talk in the forums bud.
Michael Ryan, in the 1st since you was a Ranger. You've been a good platoon mate, and I wish you well.
ShadowFoxBiH, thx for all the convos. It's been great talking with you.
Caro, quite possibly eCanada's oldest 2-clicker whos now quit. This girl was ~3rd strongest in Canada and usually made more than 80% of our platoon damage!
I can't mention everyone, but to the rest of the 1st, past and present. I hope you keep the name of our great platoon alive.
Chamrajnagar, promoted me to Cpl, then Sgt, then when he left, Lt. This guy is solid with integrity, and gave me responsibility. There's not much more I could ask for in a leader.
Lokes and Christian Doe were the leaders of the Rangers when it was starting up again during WWIII as a training unit. Props to them for jumpstarting my career, and the Rangers which turned out to be a great experience for me.

Chucky Norris, to me at least, you were always proactive and taking the initiative in the CAF so that it wouldn't wallow in boredom. Fun times pissing people off during the LSR 😉
Coda, danster, Cozza, JT_Vanguard, Mr. Hopwood, Rammer, Catapult, Zina80, MaryChan, SaraD, KyleDR, GoranThrax, youknowme, Steam7, off the top of my head. Good times and great convos on CAF IRC and somtimes even Skype.
the grinch, my fellow Ranger from WWIII. We had good times in war and building houses. One of the few from the original Ranger batch.
Glorified, The American that started in Canada because he was in Delaware! What a great career you've had.
Marius Coroleone. We'll never forget you friend. You were the asshole that made IRC chats awesomely fun. Requiescat in pace. o7

In the US/Canada Army exchange, I took a tour of US Army Group West. The US Military is probably the most organized force in eRepublik. Boasting one of the largest armies in eRepublik, their beauracracy is simply amazing, with modules, spreadsheets, and guides everywhere. If you want a feel for how a real army should be run, join these bastards.
5th Division, 2nd Platoon. Get those damned ECHOs in on time 😉
wakyz, my XO showed me the ropes in detail and helped me understand the Army greatly.
Last but not least, Bombonato who was a General in AGW, and trusted me to temporarily control 5/2 platoon. This guy kept everything organized, handled army jobs, army supplies, army tactics, and was one of the best CO's I've ever had. Hooah!

Dade, had me become Minister of Education and gave me a taste of government from the inside while dealing with politics which was more than enough for me. Thanks for the opportunity.
Tyler F Durden was pretty good to me when I was starting out, and we had some interesting convos. Requiescat in pace.
The people of eSweden. We'll always remember the Alberta hospital. It's been a pleasure being an ambassador to your country.
The people of the eUS forums, you're all fgts, but you guys keep things interesting, so I still love you.
The people of the eUS. Forever bros. I hope nobody forgets it.
TCO. Keep doing what you're doing you bastards.
The people of eCanada. Thx for the fun times. We've had our ups and downs, but we've remained a strong, and respected community.

Sorry if I forgot anyone. I wish everyone well in their endeavors. I can't say I wish the eRepublik admins all that well, but I'll still thank them for providing a great concept that has kept me entertained for a year.

So with this last, I bid adieu. o7
