Good Morning Norway!

Good Morning Norway!

Yesterday was... how can I put it... an insane day. A few things to go through to get everyone up to speed. Quiet at the back please!

Firstly

Congress

It took forever for the results to be made public but when they were... oh Norway! You've made me proud. Only about 3 names I don't know. A good mix of oldies and newbies.

Get yourselves over to the forum and to IRC and let's make this country the envy of the world!

Second

Smoeller has been banned.

For what (and how true the accusation is)... well I simply don't know and can't comment.

He was however holding one of the government's Q5 weapon companies - I hope Admin do the right thing and either unban him or return our property.

Third

The four free companies everyone has received.

Basically yesterday you should have been given 3 grain companies and 1 Q1 food company. Why? Because they are Admin and a stable economy is obviously their mortal enemy. Those 3 grain companies can supply all the grain you will ever need to run the food company (with raw materials to spare). My guess is this was to give people the '5 free fights' ability like in V1. Unfortunately this was done in the most backward way possible.

It costs nothing to restore the companies and the mission rewards are frankly pathetic. Although you will never be able to completely supply yourself with enough food to heal 300 health, it will massively depress the food and food raw markets. One step forward, five steps back.

Four

If you are/were a congressman then you would have got a ton of alerts in the afternoon saying there were proposals waiting. A bug rampaged through the system meaning you were allowed to propose and vote on issues in all countries. A wave of presidential impeachments began, as well as a lovely NE proposal with Sweden right here in Norway. A US citizen proposed that one. Well Admin reversed it all that but it provided 10 minutes of fun while everyone searched around for the latest crazy proposal.

Five

Croatia vs Serbia

Croatia has apparently signed a 3 month peace treaty with Serbia. The terms appear one-sided (Serbia gets Montenegro and most of Bosnia) so I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't something dodgy going on. However, EDEN are respecting the cease-fire and have ordered everyone not to fight in any Croatia v Serbia or Croatia v Slovenia battles. So that is the official government position on it. (But I can't stop you can I? Nudge nudge, wink wink.)

Phew!

Hopefully it will be back to business as usual today. We shall see!
