Join the new world

Since sadly Raziel cannot run this month, I am going to run myself.
This is because none of the other candidates have released manifestos, and hopefully this will be a bit controversial and kick them up the arse 🙂



GOALS
There are a few simple and clear goals which we need to achieve to rejoin the top rank of parties in this country:

1) We need to increase membership. Now I have recently developed a different take on this - we need quality rather than quantity. We need to stop focusing on that in game number and instead look at who is on our IRC and forums.

2) Congress.We put lots of effort in with mixed results. Do we need to up our share here? Until congress actually makes decisions I think we should relax about this. It'll come naturally with the other goals.

3) We need to develop CP candidates from our own party. Dish is fantastic and I'll be supporting him all the way, but once he stops running who is next in line? I honestly can't see anyone who is ready yet.



SOLUTIONS
So how do we meet these goals?

1a) Firstly we need our ideology written down. A clear set of simple goals, aims and beliefs which mark us out as different to the other parties. People will come to us if we have good ideas.

1b) Second we need a little advertisement. This has to be in the form of high quality articles and threads by people clearly marked as UKRP via their Avatar.
There seems to be lots of emphasis on mass PMs and I don't believe that this works, it may increase our dead body count and in game epeen, but it isn't helping us get forum active members. By level 7 I expect that the high quality members will come to us (and the forums) naturally and will not need their hand holding.

2) We need more emphasis on Ministries rather than Congress Seats. Under Minister and Ministers are the true prize, as the people who actually make decisions. This bit is up to YOU. YOU need to join a ministry and develop expertise and climb up the real ladder.
What the party can do to help is have our Ministers offer apprenticeships to party members, and to have a general air of respect for those who achieve. A googledoc database of UKRP members and their career level will be a great start along this line of thinking, and also offer a strong tool for tactical voting in elections.

3) This is the hardest goal to achieve, but with the greatest reward. Out of all of us, I feel that Raziel and BombadierBeetle are the furthest up the slippery ladder to CP. All we can do is offer our support if they can be active enough to continue their political climbs.
To insert them (and us) more firmly into the communities imagination, I'd like us to start doing biographies and propaganda posters of our members. A "member of the week" 'holiday' where we celebrate individuals would be my method to achieve this.



SUMMARY
Ok a bit of a wall of text so lets sum up:

Three goals:
Active Members, Quality Members and Legendary Members.
We focus on that individuals rather than the masses of two clickers.

Four Solutions:
A short, clear ideology. High quality threads and articles. An organized hierarchical member base. Public celebrations of our best members.



MY ROLE
So what will I do as PP to get this done?

*I will encourage our members to join the military and ministries.
*I will manage production of our written ideology document.
*I will post articles several times a week about the party and politics in general
*I will produce a googledoc for us which we can use for tactical voting and to audit how well the party is doing in terms of government jobs
*I will organize mini holidays in honour of our best members.

I will also appoint a VP from our Congress Members to use Party Presidential authority in Congress. I believe that we have two very strong candidates for this. We need party leadership in both Congress and Military and this will be the best way to achieve that.
