Should I go all eCanadian? Notice I said eCanadian, I do know it is game but let me share with you a bit about myself.

I started playing in eCanada Jul 02, 2009

One of my friends suggested I move to the eUSA.

I meet many great people, at the time the eUSA Military was the Military for the eUSA. I worked through the Training Corps, became a General, worked through the Marines and became a General. It has been my home in the game.

Now a few years ago a small group of players decided that POTUS should control the eUSA Military. Even though we always been loyal, they did this out of ego and greed.

Now in this long history I watched eCanada stand up and get wiped for the eUSA many times and what did the eUSA do when the eUK decided the did not want to fight eCanada directly and get ePoland and eSpain to wipe eCanada. The eUSA did nothing in fact they signed MPPs with eUK, eSpain and ePoland.

The eUSA decided eCountries that betrayed them multiple times in the past are friends while an eCountry like eCanada who took it on the chin, should be at best ignored.

Now the game mechanics allow for freedom fighter and mercenary medal.
Being a strong tank the bazookas are useless to me.

So I used them when,
1) the battle is over
2) only enough to get my 25 hits, or when a region is being return what ever is required for the Freedom Fighter.
The eUSA is up tight, this is not an attack against the eUSA or anybody.

Does anybody in the eUSA fight with honor anymore?

Maybe I should go all eCanadian.

Things change in game. I do find that over the last couple years when the going gets tough eUSA gets pretty gutless.

What do the other players say?
The eUSA MPPs with eUK, eSpain and ePoland, and they will all as in the past betray the eUSA but if it does not happen fast the eUSA will attack eCanada,.

Should not have needed allies in the last war, it was only the eUK that did not have the guts for and one on one fight.

long answer is you and your crowd have failed to succeed politically for years, despite apparently having the answer to every problem. To make up for this you completely disengaged from the system, thus losing even more say. Occasionally of course someone from the eus mil crowd will write an article about how terrible the elites are and how jaded the system is, before doing nothing for another year or so. Get over it.

Wow, how fighting has ANYTHING to do with politics is beyond me but +1 for taking a shot at someone while completely disregarding their comment. Then again, it is very much the same story on the vaunted eUS forums, where the status quo is stfu or get trolled. Or, even better, stfu or be called a troll. Either way, you are expected to fall in line with that path of thinking. Apologies for refusing to be treated like a first grader by a bunch of second graders.

I don't know what all the butthurt is for, people have felt this way for a long time, and the eUS was warned multiple times that if people were going to be continuously treated like they had nothing to offer, then said people would leave and go somewhere that isn't reminiscent of a fascist cabal.

I no longer care what the eUS government does or does not do. Because in all reality, losing sleep over something that will never change is also beyond me.

As your population slides and the eUS slides further into third world e-nation status, remember to continue to insult the people that tried to bring change. It ALWAYS works out.

Are you insane? Our political system is what determines how and where the VAST MAJORITY of our players fight. Therefore if we aren't fighting with honor, there must be some kind of failure within our political system as well.

Populations are declining around the entire eworld as Plato tries to bleed as much money from people as possible before it dies, don't act like somehow just because the eUS is apparently a "fascist cabal" has anything to do with that.

Have fun being self righteous in Canada, it really suits you.

Legitimate issue? You absolutely did not. You completely glazed over my entire comment and just said what you wanted to. That's fine though, to each their own.

I don't care if you want to take solace in the fact that supposedly populations are declining, etc...but the simple fact of the matter is that the eUS has been in decline well before any game-wide decline had happened. I know plenty of people who started the game in the eUS and ended up leaving soon thereafter for other lands because of certain things that happened to them or because of bad interactions they had with so-called 'power players' in the eUS. I know this may be a newsflash to you and maybe some others, but people don't like to be treated like dishrags, to be discarded when they express any view other than those accepted by said people. You have a culture issue...and obviously nobody has the foresight to see it.

I had to lol when you called me self righteous, because that describes a LOT of eAmericans. But I've been called worse, so I'm good with it. I just find it ironic...like a kettle/pot thing. You operate on a forum that continuously discriminates against people who don't fall in line, you operate in a political system that encourages cheating and you operate under the assumption that every word out of the govt's mouth must be words that try to scare a populace into compliance instead of doing its actual job of maintaining a fun environment for ALL to excel in. Example: Ajay. Ajay hasn't been a threat in months, yet every other word out of the govt piehole is ZOMG AJAYAJAYAJAY. Need to find a new schtick.

Interesting again I hope, yep, but also Weird sometimes.
One thing is clear : Truths and facts from "yesterday" will not necessary still be valid within a few days or weeks. We should be ready to face them and deal with those changes.

Welcome to eCanada, again, maybe someday I will return as well. The eUSA has remained pretty constant through the last 4 years I have played. They have never been good at alliances, but have been solid allies to a handful of countries.

I played in eUK for years and live in the UK in rl, but I've pretty much gone all eCanadian. 🙂

The community is a lot better and things are generally way more fun here. Good luck with whatever you choose!

sigh. I find this notion that the US should have come to Canada's rescue to be absolutely bizarre. We haven't really been bros in AGES, we haven't been friendly to each other for even longer. Maintaining a relationship is a two way street, there was no where near enough communication between the US and Canada to justify this kind of lament. You speak of history yet you don't seem to realize that it is just that...HISTORY. I joined this game at the end of WW3 when the bromance was in full swing. Canada has always had a special spot in my erepublik heart because of that. But what was just isn't anymore, your playing a game that hasn't existed in years. Its time to move on.

No one expected them to rescue us, just give a seat at the table now.

We had an MPP with the USA for last several months until last month when the USA indicated they wanted a land rental deal. We went all in for the USA at the end of CoT when the US asked us to be friends again.

Now they tell us we have no place with them and their new friends. Spain is more friendly to us.

What your saying and what technician is saying are two different things. Everyone knows that we have wanted to work with Spoland for quite some time, Canada seems to chosen a different path. We can hardly be expected to destroy our entire foreign policy agenda because some country that we were friends with once is getting invaded by the people they knew we wanted to work more closely with. Especially when that invasion is precipitated by Canadian aggression against one of Spoland's key allies.

I agree, both nations are at fault. What I don't like is some Americans believe we're terrible allies but time and time again, we've stood by you guys. It's almost like we're to blame for everything. We did not expect USA to come bail us out, we attacked the UK for three reasons; fun for bored citizens, helping allies and putting a dent in TWO.

At this point, Spain is more likely to sign a MPP with us, like said before, which I find disappointing. It's a shame the bromance is over, it was one of, if not the best here in eRep. I was around for all of it, so I might be a little biased, perhaps one day it shall be revived.

The world turns, what was may come again. It doesn't seem like were going to be on the same side this alliance cycle, but whats done is done. If there is hope for a revival of the bromance it will require the effort of people on both sides to make it so. I may not agree with a lot of Canada's decisions but at the least you have shown your willingness to put your own regions at risk to help your allies, which is admirable.

Canada has a great community when you look past the agro, UK is boring and full of dickheads, USA from what I've seen has a lot of decent guys with honour and fight for what they believe is right, however as a whole I think the country is a terrible strategist.
