Good Morning Ireland
I dont get talk to you as much nowadays but, this morning I would like to talk to yall about our chat rooms. The national chat room is easy to get to and makes sense to use but, how many people have you ever seen in it ? I have checked out the room 10 times now and only 1 time did it have just one other person in it. However, things are now going to change. A few days ago TD Michael Collins introduced a vote to start a chat room for New Citizens
MC's reasoning was that New Citizens will be able to find the chat room easy, provided we promote it, and its much more likely that new citizens will use it over IRC, at least at first. I completely agree with his logic and Im a little disappointed that I didn't think about it before
I will not remain in the dark any longer !! From now every time I go on erepublik I will enter the chatroom and stay on. I will probably be on this afternoon around 2 eastern time if anyone happens to want to talk. Let's start using the chat room and create a newbie-friendly environment where citizens can come talk, seek advice or plot political takeovers of Labour and ISD

I think it's brilliant for new citizens but not just for new citizens in fact. I never got into IRC in a big way so maybe it will be easier for me to use the in-game chat.

You only have to go to the society page and press the join button. It should bring you right to the room

The chat rooms are not working for me... But I should probably switch browsers in case that is the problem...
I can get into the room, but I can't type anything.
It is a good Idea to find Employees, and to get info for new citizens.
I don't go in there very often, but the one time I did there was a new citizen in there wondering where everyone was. It would be nice if we had people regularly in there. I'll try to go in more often, but I'm not a huge fan of large chat rooms. (I guess that won't be an issue for now though. 😕 )

I use Chrome, and it used to be fail for me too, till I updated the v.

Actually Grainne we got 15 people in there for about 5 seconds until one person left
I went in last night. It was nice and easy to get too. And of course a couple of people managed to figure out how to beat the censor! Ill probably stop in again this evening. 🙂
