Global presidential election wrap-up

Here are global results of the presidential election day:

America - Chocolate McSkittles def. Colin Lantrip. Choc wrapped up his win in the evening with over 300 votes to spare. In the last month, USA lost 4,500 citizens, bringing the American population down to 20.5k. 13.5% of citizens voted, which was almost 400 voters less than in the previous month. Globally, the eWorld lost 47,000 citizens and 7,000 voters this month.

Australia - The national consensus candidate Widdows9000 defeated the Indonesian candidate by a hundred votes.

Bosnia and Herzegovina - The Serbian candidate won the presidency. The Croats and Bosniaks overwhelmingly control the Congress, since Bosnia retreated the regions with mostly Serbian population to Croatia during the Congressional elections. So only a couple of Serbian Congressmen got elected. But the Serbs did an impeachment proposal yesterday, so the Serbian President of Bosnia will get to have a week in office.

Croatia - Apachy won his 4th presidential election in 5 months. He lost an election a couple of months ago, but the elected president that month asked for an impeachment due to a RL emergency, so Apachy's reign continues for a 5th straight month.

Poland - Ariakis won the presidency in Poland against Vingaer. 2900 votes for Ariakis vs 2400 for Vingaer. This was a very intense campaign in the Polish media during the last week, full of flaming. Most remarkable were all kinds of insults, with photoshopped pics, in an impassioned campaign against Vingaer. Also, intense sexual insults were thrown at Vingaer, with no FPs awarded for offending parties.

Here is a translation of an informative excerpt from an article in the most popular Polish newspaper, High Times:

"Vingaer, exists in eRep since June 2009. From the outset, she knows what is good - the picture in a bikini guarantees the title of Miss, and being a member of the PPP and POG - financial and political backing.

India - the appointed successor of former President won the election in India. Supreme Priest of The Church of Dio, AgentChieftain, also ran in the Indian election since India wiped out Pakistan. This means that Pakistan won't have a President this month. So Pakistan can't attack until a new President is elected next month, since there's no one to push the buttons.

UK - the presidential rotation in UK continues. Glados was President 2 months ago, and last month they added a new man to the rotation, jamesw. This month, the reigns of course, return to Mr Woldy. He beat dismcds comfortably for another term.

Latvia - 3/5 of Latvian presidential candidates this month set their presidential goal to occupy Estonia. One of those candidates was elected. Phoenix has issued a punishment for Latvia of 300 gold + sign peace with Estonia. The Phoenix Secretary General even said that Latvia would be kicked out of Phoenix if it doesnt comply. Could Latvia become an EDEN ally? Latvia wants a war on its borders, but they are surrounded by Phoenix allies on all sides. Their Phx ally Estonia won't let'em swap to attack Finland anymore after Latvia supposedly failed to return the money obtained in one of their previous swaps. Estonia has now built Q5 hospitals everywhere, and Latvia could quite possibly open up a powder-keg in the Baltics.

Peru - another month, another Polish President.

Denmark - the Danish candidate defeated the Serbian candidate.

South Korea - Arjay Phoenician won the presidency by a 2 vote margin.

France - aguellid became President. France just had a non-binding referendum yesterday where the pro-Entente side beat the pro-Phoenix side.

So I asked the new President for a comment, and whether he's more pro-Phx or pro-Entente, and this is what he sai😛

"Entente and PHX countries are and will remain our allies. Historically, we have a very old good relationship with phoenix countries. I want to join Pheonix, I will ask my people before doing it but I think this is our destiny. I think we should merge the 2 alliances."

Japan - our old friend Dokomo won the presidency again. He comes from the Godzilla Party of course.

EDIT: Due to an unknown game mechanic that may or may not be a bug, Agent Chieftain is President of Pakistan again. Praise DIO.
