GLD - What future holds

Day 584, 05:42 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by psandrad

Dear citizens,

Now that the smoke from the battlefield of the elections is starting to clear up, the GLD can look back on a very succesful campaign. Out of nothing we have won no less than six seats in congress and we are very much looking forward to play a role of importance in the coming government period.

What can you expect from us in the near future?

1. One of the most important issues we want to address, is the establishment of a high-level hospital in the Brussels-Capital region. Dutch Hospitals currently has two Q5 hospitals in stock and we want at least one of them for our own country. We feel the establishment of a hospital will be a major factor in the improvement of the local economy; it will attract new people to the area, who will all be able to develop faster and eventually strenghten not only our economy, but also our defensive forces.

2. Furthermore we will strive for a decrease of VAT to 5% and an increase of some import taxes in order to encourage local business. There is no reason why people should have to buy expensive imported products when they also can be produced here, thus creating more jobs and a stronger UNL economy.

We feel it is essential that these issues will be taken care of in the coming government period. People have not voted for us congress-men in order for us to be given a nice, shiny medal and 5 gold. What they want and what they left us in charge with, is for us to improve their day-to-day lifes and be active representatives of the people. The United Netherlands can definately prosper even more if we actively and continiously seek to find new measures to improve life-standards and our local economy. Be the active politician people expect you to be!

That's what we have to do, and that's what we eventually will be held to account for.

Best regards,

Green Liberal Democrats
