Geronimo!

Day 1,481, 16:10 Published in USA USA by Pragmat

Greetings and welcome to the first article of Bigger on the Inside, a paper that has gone by many other names over the years.

For most of my eRep "life" I have used Gerard Butler as a theme in my avatar. No more! I have recommitted myself to a Doctor Who motif, just thought everyone should know. (If you have not checked out the long-running British show, I suggest you do so immediately....after you finish reading this article)

Shaking off the dust
I have been back now for a few weeks and I have yet to decide how I feel about eRep a year later. I enjoy being able to produce my own raw materials and food. This allows me to sell them for a small profit and ensures that each day I will have some money to spend. Serving in the Army, I also get food provided to me each day as compensation for working in a low-paying commune. Most days I sell half of this so that I can buy weapons, but either way, this system makes it very easy for me to participate in military actions. Basically, I am impressed with how organized the USAF seems to be these days.

Speaking of military stuff, is it just me or has it gotten much easier to level up and increase military rank (in game)? I finally reached lvl 25 and am already more than halfway to lvl 26 since I came back and I have already advanced 2 ranks in the span of a couple weeks. I'm thinking it must be that I fight a lot more often since I have access to resources, but I just wanted to see if maybe the admins made tweaks to it.

Is anyone else upset by the battle system? I mean, I was around when V2 kicked in and we had the little hexagon maps, but I miss the Wall, and this current system, while moving in the right direction, is not the same.

Finally, it seems that the activity level in the eUS community is lackluster in most cases. There are some quality articles and contests being printed/run , but they mostly seem to originate from veteran players that have been around the block a few times.

Nostalgia has a tendency to paint things in a positive light, so I am curious to see what others think. I stopped playing about a year ago, have things really changed all that much since then?

News Worth Knowing

scrabman recently put out a brief article calling on citizens to vote responsibly during the upcoming PP elections to ensure Top 5 party leadership that has the best interests of the eUS in mind. On the off chance you are not aware, scrab knows what he is talking about, so little to the man.

Hekter, the new General of the Army, put out a statement thanking many for the opportunities he has been given. I haven't had cause to interact with him much, outside of him transferring me my food each day freaky fast, but by most accounts he seems like a highly qualified individual and a good man for the job.

Need an update on what is happening militarily worldwide? Look no future than this article from S. Ribeiro. Side Note: It has been great to see the eUS and her allies achieve so much success on the battlefield in the last few weeks.

That concludes my article for today, I hope at least some of you found it interesting.

Regards,

Daniel Dodge
